I ordered the scramble, I guess they charge more to make it an omlet ?. They use fake sliced cheese rather than real shredded cheese. It ruined the whole meal, what restaurant uses sliced fake cheese. Besides the meal, the waitress was nice and did a good job. I will be choosing a different place for breakfast next time.

DISAPPOINTING START TO OUR DAY?We travel all over North America and eat at restaurants from Nova Scotia to Santiago.We enjoy the most elegant to the quaint corner eatery.The calico kitchen has many great reviews but it is at best an average diner that charges like a fine dining establishment.DO NOT GET THE FARMER JOHN BREAKFAST. it’s hash browns with cheese No kidding!!The entrees are prepared diner style with an assembly line and it tastes like it.Don’t get me wrong, the food is underwhelming but at least it is very expensive.(that was sarcasm;)The California Benny uses luncheon meat and the English muffin is not toasted.Sorry, but it’s a hot mess.The atmosphere and choice of music is good but the service is not hospitable nor engaging. You feel like they sold your seat before you sit down.Process the customer, get them in and out. Don’t ask them how they want their eggs.Can you say cafeteria line.Oh well off we go. I hope our lunch place is better.

I got the chicken fried steak with fries and sourdough they didn't have a side option I could have due to allergies. Their fries are literally cubed potatoes don't be shocked. A friend of mine got the French toast meal with a soda. She really likes the French toast, both of us agree it's a bit spendy when it comes to cost of things their double cheese burger is the same price as the chicken fried steak and eggs. I was shocked by that.

Got breakfast for hubby. Service was good. Always busy when I go, but service it's fast. The food was good, and prices are fair. This day however a few things were forgotten like the jam, cutlery, the little salt and pepper. The gravy on the hashbrowns. Still worth stopping by. Every one has a bad day or makes a mistake. I'm thinking it was lunch rush and busy.
