The Maxwell House is a classic dive bar. However the owners have been making excellent improvements over the past 18 moths or so. Great staff and service, great prices, decent kitchen.Parking: Parking lot in rear, free street parking all along Maxwell.Kid-friendliness: Somewhat. Very rarely are there kids inside. It's very Much a bar atmosphere.

Tried the broasted chicken wings. While decent, still ok to me. It's basically extra crispy fried chicken wings with a side of hot sauce and ranch. I've come to find out I'm a saucy wing kinda gal. Friendly service, on time with my to go order. Very chill atmosphere.

Food quality is a far cry from the previous owners and it costs more. Owners are snarky folks if you can't tell from their responses. The did do some renovation, but at this point is is just polishing excrement. If you are into volleyball you will be worshipped as a customer. Definitely not a place for families or adults. A great kids bar where everything is...uh..."lit". Yeah lit.No on fire or anything, just lit. I guess that implies something is actively burning. Maybe it is one of their steaks? Can't wait for another snarky response from the owner. I'm sure it helps business greatly.

First time for me and I'm so glad that someone suggested having lunch there. I had the prime rib French dip and it was wonderful. Two of my friends swore by the broasted chicken. It looked good too. Good variety of sides. I love their tarter sauce with the Jojos. It's the kind of place I'll go back to many times until I try all the things I like on their menu.Best of all is the service. Our waitress is the best I've seen for a long time! I recommend you try this restaurant/bar. You won't regret it!
