In the defence of The Bistro, new management shifts can be tough. My bagel and cream cheese was great. Also got a latte and an orange juice. Not sure prices reflect what the food is, but didn't taste bad at all.

Marriott is typically our go to chain, and we are usually pleased. This hotel isn’t bad, but it wasn’t a great experience for us. We were in room 333 at the very end of the hotel. I’m saying that because it’s the top floor at the end of the hotel, so other rooms may not be the same. But for us, we could hear the street noise the entire time. Our room overlooked the river (nice), but the overpass for the river was the same level as our room just to the left of our window. Sleeping is the number one priority when you need a hotel, and even with the white noise app going on our phone, we could still hear the cars which made sleeping difficult. When we initially checked in, the front desk said the hotel was full, or we’d have asked to switch rooms. The other bummer was that the internet wasn’t connecting at all our first night. We used data on our devices that we could until they were able to get it running the next day. Again, apparently only an issue for our room. The internet TV never worked at all. They had someone come to look, but they weren’t able to get it fixed while we were there, so streaming on the TV wasn’t possible. The hotel itself is ok. Employees were courteous. Rooms could use some updating, but it’s wasn’t horrible. Had a decent breakfast in the restaurant downstairs. Breakfast is not included w/the stay (just fyi).

Very impressed with the selections they have for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! Had the tomato soup and grilled cheese for dinner and the breakfast bowl for breakfast! Both not only pretty to look at, they were both DELICIOUS!!! Tried the meatball appetizer wasn’t hugely impressed. Meatballs seemed to me microwaved too long so they were very hard.

Good food, great people to take care of ya, prices are a little bit up there tho. Just keep in mind at this hotel there are no complementary meals so this would be your only option here.As a service though, I was very happy with it.

We stayed here over Thanksgiving week and the property was very quiet. The Front Desk staff, John, was super friendly and welcoming. We got a river view room on the top floor. We found the hotel to be very clean and quiet, one of the most quiet rooms we've ever stayed in Spokane. The Bistro was open in the morning for coffee, Starbucks drinks and breakfast. This is a great hotel. Will definitely stay again.

Too soft mattress, old soft pillows, low water pressure and traffic noise. Otherwise just another Courtyard by M. River location is convenient as is the parking. Tiny indoor pool not useful for exercise.

Should be a destination restaurant/bar when you’re in Spokane- regardless of whether or not your staying at the Courtyard. Upscale “Pub” food paired with an excellent selection of equally excellently crafted cocktails. The bar and kitchen are lead by Head Chef’s/Mixologist Zac and Travis. Their attention to detail and dedication to their crafts are as evident as the water is wet in the river running scenically alongside the establishment. The entire team at The Bistro and Courtyard Marriott set the standard high for any restaurant or bar within walking or scooter ride distance from the convention center. If you are looking for high quality, expertly curated/crafted menus with flawless execution look no further then The Bistro. Travis and Zac will be ready to make your next best meal today!

The hotel is great. Location, quiet, clean rooms and friendly staff. We have stayed here twice in 2022 and one thing has been disappointing both times, breakfast. They have a Starbucks in the lobby. Coffee is typical but the food is horrible. First stay had one of their egg dishes. Way overcooked. Today tried to be smart and just had Croissants. They were white bread baked to look like a Croissant. No butter came near them. I wondered why I was offered butter (twice) and now I know. Don’t know if this is typical for Starbucks or a hotel issue. Next time I will walk to breakfast!

We loved the location of this hotel. Walking path right outside the hotel takes you to the busier parts of downtown and quickly to the convention center. the staff were very friendly from the front desk to the convenient cafe in the lobby. John was exceptional, very courteous and WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND! My daughter left her expensive video game behind and the staff returned it and John worked with me to have it shipped to our home in California. Thank you!! We had two satisfying dinners there and it was perfect for grabbing a quick coffee on the way to the games in the morning. Ours was a second floor room facing the river. What a view! The lobby is cozy with lots of spaces to sit and relax. We did have an issue with the air conditioner on the first night but it was quickly resolved with a call to guest services. Room was clean and comfortable. We will definitely return when we go back to Spokane.

Qualifier: Lifetime nights in Marriott properties 453, status Titanium, number of stays at this property dozens. Check in: Put us directly across from elevator - Fail We mobile checked in (never again) was not offered $10 F/B credit upon check in Was made to feel since we mobile checked in we didn't need hard keys (I have two kids that need hard keys) Generally put off as a bother Was recognized as Titanium but told that parking was complimentary because of that (it's not, it's free for everyone) Stay: Food line was extremely long in cafe one morning, the other was ok, food service was great by two of the three employees one was an order taker should be at a fast food restaurant This property used to be nice, but it's location adjacent to division means loud cars at all hours (that's a Washington state problem by not inspecting cars anymore) No housekeeping except upon request 3 pillows per queen instead of 4 no extra blankets Homeless people spotted twice in two days in the lobby Trail users park their cars during the day in prime spots, parking not enforced Premium internet is 20 down 20 up mediocre Moved rooms to avoid the elevator, again treated as we were asking for the world Poor water pressure 3 towels per room should be twice that especially with no housekeeping No bars of soap in Marriott's anymore (liquid body wash only) Upon checkout, when I asked to be granted my F/B credit, I was argued with and told I should have asked upon check in..... WHY? What possible reason could you give me, none. IS that noted in T&C's? If I was recognized as Titanium at check-in, the burden is on YOU, not the guest. Good: Provided free toothbrushes to the kids who forgot, food was cooked well Summary: Downtown Spokane is past it's prime with traffic, violence, homelessness, and now what used to be a terrific location and hospitable property is now just loud and dangerous, pinching pennies and forgetting why they are in the hospitality industry. Recommendation: SpringHill Suites by the airport is much better. Owner: Marriott International (corp owned?)

We were here for a wedding, I’m glad the bride picked this hotel. It’s close to things and staff is friendly. Our daughter changed her flight at last minute and the staff was able to upgrade us to a suite and moved in a rollaway bed, this helped tremendously with our sleeping arrangements, awesome service!
