This place is super cute. Love the atmosphere and they really take advantage of the small space they have to seat as many people as they can. This leaves tight quarters but it is appreciated.The server was so nice and gave great recommendations and was very personable. She even showed us an appetizer she recommended that another guest got as our options are limited as my friend is gluten intolerant and she was very forthcoming with the sushi options we were considering and the possibility of gluten which was so sweet!The rolls were…fine? They were not wrapped up tight enough at all. It made for a very messy meal as they were falling apart and were not quite “bite size” which is expected with sushi.They do have an option for an upcharge to get real crab instead of imitation crab which was amazing! First time I’ve seen this option advertised and I was thrilled…I am not a fan of fishy flavor…ironic I know.The soft shell crab in the roll I got was so good and perfectly fried but I couldn’t hold the roll together to save my life.My friend got the fresh roll which was my absolute favorite of the options we got. It was also loose but it was so tasty!

Great food and excellent staff! I had the Spicy Tangerine beef, which was a hugh serving and so good. I took the leftovers home, my waiter gave us extra scoops of rice to go!The sushi rolls are always fresh and delicious, everything we try is always good! We're 6 time repeat customers from out of town!

One of my favorite dinner spots in all of Spokane! The food always seems so fresh and vibrant, and the menu is full of variety. It’s a full side of the menu for sushi and a full side for other dishes. Definitely recommend a reservation, especially on the weekend. The 21+ downstairs area is great and has amazing views of downtown and the river valley, just gets a bit busy and noisy sometimes, as expected.

The owner is amazing sushi chef. Love his rolls. Bartender/Service was fun but he needs help it was busy. We didn't get our gozya but we're charged either.

Would highly recommend stopping in; I'll definitely visit again for date night.

Me and my business partner have even been able to rent it out to host events for our clients and the service and planning has always been exceptional!If you're visiting, it's a must-try before you leave. If you're a local, it's a staple.

So lost, so meaningless, yet each moment a world of feeling. For these experiences rewarded are we only in death, as I consume the flesh of this animal. I have realized that we are made of the same material, the atoms of this universe realigned into separate forms unequal and yet equal in its construction. What an epiphany this place has given me! What wisdom! What delight! What emotion! Thank you all!
Umi used to be my favorite sushi spot! Unfortunately, they have lowered the sizes of the dishes while maintaining the same price, and I don't appreciate that. It's good sushi, I just feel swindled. Also, when I picked up my order today, the wait staff was chit chatting in sight of the doorway, and they looked at me and ignored me initially until I looked at them again. Will definitely go somewhere else next time I'm craving sushi.

Great food, service was good. Not an out of this world experience, but a run of the mill staff and sushi bar environment. The location is nice, but with busy times may be hard to find parking.The food was tasty, well prepared and presented, and filling. Egg drop soup was thicker than I have seen other places but had much more egg.

I got some good ideas for things to order next time. My choices were pretty basic this time. I'd do my research before ordering again. During lunch they seem to be rushed to get you fed quickly. I noticed lots of great looking dishes on other tables.Parking: Easy on street parking during my visit
