The food is really good, HOWEVER, I ordered 2 Tacos that were $3.99 on the menu. The girl charged me $17.98 and I politely told her I was asking for the $3.99 tacos for the kids and she cussed me out in Spanish!!! She gave me my money back still arguing and yelling. No Bueno !!! I have 2 kids in the car and they are shocked and do NOT want to eat here anymore. Not that we received any food yet. It has been more than 20 Min.

Will not return. Placed order for pickup came through drive through no one answered, so I went to the window and it took a few minutes for the cashier to see us. I told them I was picking up and they handed me the food it didn't seem like enough to be what I ordered. Sure enough, missing 1 burrito and parts of the kids' meals. When I mentioned it to the lady, she got me the missing burrito and soda and shut window. I was still missing the rice and beans. She came back and I told her I ordered 2 kids quesodilla meals and she then proceeded to tell me I didn't order kids quesodillas but regular one. I showed her my receipt on the phone and she was still arguing I had ordered regular quesodillas. Then I said you knew I ordered kids meals because you handed me a kids soda the first time you gave me my order. She went back and got one side of rice and one side of beans. I just wanted to get my food I had already paid for as it was over 40 dollars and my kids were expecting the rice/beans. On top of this the food was not good I ended up tossing most of it a few days later. We hardly ever don't get to eating our leftovers when we order out. When we finally left there were 3 cars lined up in the drive thru at the order box.

This use to be my favorite local spot for Mexican takeout, but over the past few months, the quality of the food has seriously declined. I have ordered the birria nachos, the wet burrito, both the carne asada plate & carne asada fries, as well as the quesabirria, over the last 3 months, trying to find an item on the menu that I’d still enjoy at this longtime favorite restaurant, but sadly none of them were fresh, properly seasoned or served at the right temperature. The meat and beans looked like they were cooked in the morning, unseasoned, and kept in a warmer the entire day. They were tough, crusted over and cracking, with no proper seasonings. The tortillas were so stale and overdone they were too tough to bite into. The guacamole was browning around the edges as if it had been made a few days prior & was prepackaged, and the refried beans were so dried out they had a crust on the outside, with the cheese on top being so rubbery, it remained as one solid piece on top, with the edges where the beans touched the takeout box cracking, as though they were old and dry. I won’t be eating here again, sadly.

Pleasantly surprised to find a decent style San Diego Taco Shop. Their California Burrito is really the Carne Asada Fries Burrito. Breakfast burritos, Carne Asada Chips were delicious.
