I'm moving out of the Lincoln neighborhood, and while today won't be my last visit to Bambu, I'll certainly be visiting less frequently. ?But that doesn't mean you should. I've been coming to Bambu since 2017, and I've never had a bad drink (I'm partial to the basic black milk tea, the oolong milk tea, the Hong Kong milk tea, and the Moomoolicious when I don't want any caffeine) or a bad dessert (I miss the taro waffles, but mochi cupcakes! ?).The service is always friendly and top-notch, even when the store is packed, and it sometimes is; it's a busy spot and I can't recall ever being here when it's empty.I'll miss having Bambu be my local sweet caffeine fix, but I'm glad it'll be around whenever I visit Lincoln.

I love the iced coffee here! I was in the area doing a business meeting and discovered this little gem. Try the traditional coffee it’s better than Starbucks by far! With friends staff as well!

I have absolutely nothing bad to say about bambu. Ever.Me and my family have been going there for years and years and no drink has ever disappointed. From vietnamese coffee, to a strawberry white rabbit, they have drinks even the pickiest of people will enjoy.(While it sounds simple, I suggest trying a smoothies like the passion in love or very berry and adding rainbow jellies or popping boba. You'll thank me later)The store is adorned with studio ghibli, pokemon, animation, and just generally cute themes! They also offer sweet treats like waffles and fresh mochi cupcakes. (Dont worry they have ice cream too)Their staff is so kind, helpful, and hard working. If you don't know what to order, or you are wondering what goes into the drinks ingredient wise dont hesitate to ask! The staff knows the menu inside and out and will be more than willing to talk to you about it.Also with so many places asking for tips now, its hard to know when to tip well and who deserves it. Let me help you out, the staff are mostly younger people high school age to like mid 20s. (This is because the owner tries to give jobs to students who struggle to find somewhere that will hire them as their first job) these kids are putting themselves through college, or trade school, they have dreams of moving to their own apartments and being able to afford them, etc. These are the people who deserve tips without a doubt. So if you can afford it, just click that 15% button and know that its going to people who will genuinely use it!Honestly, I've seen some boba tea shops that had drinks double the price that just weren't nearly as good. The bambu staff is also fairly heavy handed with the toppings (trust me, that extra .50 cents for your fav add-in is so worth it)Also, one of my favorite things is their rewards program. You actually earn rewards and real discounts! This isn't starbucks folks. You don't have to buy 8000 frickin drinks just to earn a free add-in. You can earn free mochi cupcakes and a free large upgrade on your drink!Bambu is also involved in the community here in Tacoma and is available for catered events and holidays like the much anticipated lunar new year celebration and halloween when they encourage all ages to show up all dressed up and snap a pic with their drinksThe space itself is so well kept and clean. The kitchen area is honestly one of the cleanest I've seen and you better believe that staff is wiping down counters, floors, and doing dishes every chance they get!The ingredients are fresh and tested for freshness every morning before opening. I have never felt there was a risk of any old, moldy, or expired ingredients making their ways into my drinks or food.Overall, bambu is the kind of place that makes you feel like a kid again. There is no leaving the store without a smile on your face and I swear your eyes will light up like a cartoon character when you try the drinks*special note: Although bambu is a chain, the owner of this specific Tacoma store is a ridiculously nice, hardworking, dedicated lady who is often behind the counter or working in the back alongside her staff. I see her put in so much effort to create this happy place for people and Tacoma is so much better as a community with her as a part of it. If you see her, be sure to say hi :)Kid-friendliness: There are menu specific items that are there for kids, when it comes to community involvement bambu does costume contests for halloween, toy drives in the winter, and kids art contests in the summer!

I got to try their Halo Halo, which is a Filipino layered dessert consisting of shaved ice, fresh coconut milk, Ube ice cream and other toppings. The ube ice cream was smooth, creamy and perfectly sweet. I let it melt into the shaved ice, and it gave it a creamier texture. The coconut jelly was juicy and had good flavor. The dessert tasted well and was balanced.Their Iced Cafe Latte was also pretty good. You get the taste of delicious coffee, while also enjoying the creaminess of a latte. I would order again. I also got to try their macarons. I tried their Birthday Cake, Chocolate Hazelnut, Pistachio, Green Tea and Passion Tea flavors. My favorite ones were the Birthday Cake, Pistachio and Chocolage Hazlenut. The flavors were present, smooth and balanced. Not too sweet or sour. There are a variety of desserts and drinks available to choose from. There is something for everyone here.Staff is friendly and fast. Parking is limited to about 20-25 spots.Parking: Less than 25 spots, many other stores and restaurants are in the area as well

Delicious place to grab a treat to go or hang out with a friend. Street parking isn’t too bad, there’s a lot of different options mostly 2 hour and free! I love that everything is gluten free so I have tons of options. Don’t miss the pandan waffle, a true treat! I got the peach lychee fruit & basil seed tea with 50% sweetness. It was so refreshing with fun textures, I appreciate being able to adjust the sweetness to my taste. The staff is so friendly and helpful, they make great suggestions and know the menu well. All the food is so fresh and I’m impressed all their jellys and tapioca balls are made fresh daily!Vegetarian options: Easily customizable with majority vegetarian options!Dietary restrictions: Love the gluten friendly options!
