This place used to be really good. The quality has decreased. I was served overcooked fries, an under seasoned steak, and an under seasoned wagyu burger. No longer recommend, prices went up and quality has gone down. I ordered a 55 dollar steak and was charged a dollar for steak sauce, that is not okay. The steak was bland and not worth the price. The waiter also failed to mention that there was a special on a steak. Never in my life have I ordered a steak and been charged for steak sauce, and I was NOT told it would be an extra charge. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Bar bistro is fantastic. The menu has a wide enough selection where you can go there on a nice Friday night date, or you can go with friends casually on a Tuesday and not feel out of place.I have been 10 times and had consistent, grape food, great service, and a nice atmosphere.Aside from their food, they have fantastic cocktail menu, and I’ve yet to have a bartender that didn’t know what they were doingThe owner is there often and you can tell he takes a lot of pride in his business. He always make sure that everyone is taken care of and happy, we love this place!!!
I have tried to check this place out a few times now for happy hour. Although they are friendly, I feel like they are snooty. The bar is not very big, but there were 3 empty tables when we walked in, yet they told us at the door the bar was full. This is also what we have heard the last couple of times we tried. The restaurant part where they don't offer happy hour was totally empty. They seemed a bit snooty when we said we only came in to try their happy hour and a burger, not their sheshe dinner and wine. The place is too big for their britches. That was the last time we try this place.

My husband and I wanted to try this place because of the good reviews, however we walked in and walked directly back out. We wanted to try the happy hour menu to see what we thought of the food before we spent a bunch of money. Well, we were asked if we had reservations and then told there were no seats in the bar. I could clearly see empty seats. Why in the world is an "upscale" place where you need reservations sitting on a corner in a terrible part of town? I felt unwelcome and feel like this place is a bit over-rated.

Our first time at this restaurant, and we’ll be back! It’s kid friendly too. We ordered the bao pork belly buns and they were so delicious. Also had the angus burger which was perfectly cooked. And the wild mushroom homemade spaghetti!! It was delicious! Their craft cocktails were goood! Service was great too!Kid-friendliness: The restaurant itself is dark and moody, but there were plenty of families with children there.

Wr went there for birthday party, our server Jack ( Zack?)was super friendly and his service made us so welcoming during our dining. He even offered to keep the cake and in the refrigerator and cut it out for serving. Very satisfied with his service and we will come back this place for sure bacause of Jack.

Came here with a group of friends during Tacoma Restaurant Week and was super impressed with their price fixed menu! It was a fantastic deal, pretty much all the options were delicious that I tried, and it was really good service. Based on the location and decor, its kind of unassuming, you'd never know that you'd get some pretty fancy food here, but I was really impressed!
