Spectacular harbor view, professional staff, great meal and lovely wines. Our server made us dessert cocktails of his own recipe and they were amazing. Such a treat!

This place has gone downhill so badly, I’m wondering if they’re going to stay in business. Yes the view is great but they’ve hiked their prices to the moon, and the food has become bad diner food - bland with no substance. We stopped in for a light bite on our way home from the airport and I had a bowl of their daily soup, creamy Italian sausage. It was only flour, cream, a few scallions and a smattering of small pieces of Italian sausage. No herbs, no veggies, no flavor. Bland and sad. All of that sadness for $15…utterly disappointing. Last time was no better, the food was lifeless and had barely any taste. This used to be one of my favorite stops, but they are now forever barred from my list. RIP Cliff House.

Had dinner there tonight for my dads birthday. I got steak and lobster the steak was perfectly medium rare. He got the seafood fettuccine and he loved it, lobster cream sauce was great and they didn’t skimp on the seafood in the pasta. Drinks were good as well. Our server Lisa was busy but had great attentiveness and was so nice. We got a complimentary cannoli and enjoyed it. We will be back here it might be our new favorite nice place for dinner now. (Sorry harbor lights ) It was our first time here and didn’t have high hopes but left impressed. Definitely recommend!

Just because it was Valentines Day doesn't mean it should be so expensive! They were fully booked, had lost our groups reservstion so "squeezed" us in my allowing us to come at 3:30. They were told is was a SOLO Group of widowed men and women who wanted individual charges. We had to have one person pay for the meals and wouldn't even let each person know how much each meal was. What a financial mix up. My meal came to $120.00! Seriously? for salmon and crab together, a small salad and mashed potatoes and asparagus? With a very small piece of chocolate cake? I will never be going back.

The atmosphere is wonderful and views are unmatched, but quality of food is average and service leaves something to be desired.For the prices charged, steak and lobster were…. “meh”.Our server.. I don’t know if she was rude or if it was her personality. We had a large group and I intended to pay on one check from the get go (I know how annoying it is to split checks for large parties). She assumed that we were paying on separate checks and instructed us to all order our own appetizers (one person had ordered for all of us)… I know she was probably just trying to be helpful, but the tone was a bit condescending and presumptuous.

This establishment appears to have a long history of surprise prices and fees. Don't waste your time or money. There are significantly more affordable restaurants in this city with infinitely better service and just as good a view. This place is old, dishonest, rude, and overpriced.

Valentines Date absolutely ruined. Attitudes from staff were absolutely terrible, service was horrible to non-existent, and the prices were wayyy over what the website listed so we were not prepared at all. DO NOT SPEND YOUR PRECIOUS TIME OR MONEY HERE!!

I recommended my employee go take his fiancé to Cliff House as a special event. They have been put through so much the past few years, losing a child, car wreck, and more, that I was excited to recommend the Cliff House for a Valentine's Date with his fiancé, since they haven't gone out to a special place in years. They are on a tight budget, but myself + employee looked online and saw the Valentine's Menu published. It was affordable rates he could swing so he made a reservation.UNFORTUNATELY: the in-person menu was double the cost and not what had been published on the online menu that I personally saw. He was stressed and tried to speak to the server about a separate appetizer+dessert menu, hoping it could be more affordable, but the server was beyond rude, raising her voice, making a stink, and got aggressive with the woman pouring water who was trying to help. He was embarrassed. The server said she'd give him time to review, but after a long wait, she never came back. He felt embarrassed and ended up sneaking out.Honestly, this is just no way to treat anyone. It was highly disrespectful. On Valentines, he and his stressed out Lady snuck out. Cliff House, please make it right and offer them a full dinner on the house. Or this review stays up along with my refusal to ever set foot in your doors, and I'll let my friends in the area know as well on social media. I'm not one to do things like this, but I'm hot, mad, and hurt for my friend + employee for the degrading treatment he received.
