Ordered thru doordash. Came nice and fast, rolls were huge with a lot of filling and very little rice. Have to say it's probably the best sushi we've had in Tacoma/Lakewood.

This place is excellent! We had two California rolls, gyoza, and spicy teriyaki. All super yummy.I loved that the spicy chicken teriyaki had the vegetables mixed in instead of the side. I love spicy food so take this with a grain of salt but I'm calling this heat slightly over mild, but not quite medium. It is a comfortable little kick ?️ I didn't think I would like the rolls since the rice looked thinner than I'm used to but the flavor was absolutely there! I also got the regular fried gyoza ? which was awesome (dipping sauce too), but there is also steamed on the menu if you rather.My order was pickup so I didn't interact with the staff much, but they were all super welcoming and friendly when I walked in.We will be back for sure!!

Love this place! I always get take out here. The teriyaki is great, as is the sushi and bento box. I just tried the donkotsu ramen. The lady behind the counter said I should eat it in the restaurant because it's not good as take out. I got it home and it was great. Packaged very nicely and well thought out. The egg was soft boiled and still had a runny yolk after half an hour. The atmosphere is fun and the staff is always welcoming. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. The two gentlemen behind the sushi counter are always so kind and friendly. I can't recommend this place enough!

Fantastic experience at Flying Sushi tonight. Start to finish everything was great. We had a sashimi platter, specialty rolls, some nigiri, and short ribs off the grill. Everything was delicious. Highly recommend giving them a try. Also everyone in the restaurant was extremely nice and inviting. I can’t wait to come back.

Slept on sushi in Tacoma. Consistent quality for over the last year. They have gluten free soy sauce and their rice is gluten free. Beautiful presentation, you can tell the chefs have a ton of experience. It’s also very very clean!
My boyfriend and I love this place and end up eating here/getting take out pretty much every other week or more! Their sushi is one of the best I've ever had-fresh and great portions! We also love their beef teriyaki! Everything is delicious and the staff is so friendly!

As soon as we walked in we were greeted. Sat where we wanted too as there were no one else here. Most of the people coming in were picking up to go orders. The environment was really nice. Staff checked on us when necessary but also didn’t feel rushed that we were able to just sit and eat. Will definitely come back again.

Some of the best sushi in the area including Seattle! Visitor from socal with refined taste for traditional nigiri and sashimi and their quality of fish is amazing. I don't do mayo/ sugar rolls so no comment there but their bluefin is some of the best I've ever had and It's actually Toro I think lol. Salmon smoked and fresh was delish, spicy tuna roll perfect all fish was amazing and great friendly service and cute bar even tho its in a strip mall.
