Pros Strong cocktails Nice and varied cocktail menu Food is very flavourful If you love pork belly you're in for a treat Cons Food menu is pretty limited Service was incredibly slow - it wasn't even that busy and there was zero hustle from the wait staff

If you're wondering where to go for a cool brunch, look no further. We went to Manuscript for Sunday brunch, and I am still thinking about it on Thursday! The staff was quick and polite, and the food was excellent. The place has a cool vibe, the type of place you want to catch up with an old friend over a beverage and some crispy pork belly.....which is amazing because every table looked like they were having a beverage and amazing breakfast! We had a breakfast sandwich, the pork belly hash, and a GIANT Lemon grab Baby (which is just like a Dutch baby only with lemon curd and huckleberry jam). There wasn't a scrap of food left over. Everything was so amazingly tasty that we all left fully and happy. We will definitely be back to try more of their menu. It is a great place to go in Tacoma!

My husband and I came here for brunch. The seating area is very small for such a big establishment. Nicely decorated. There seemed to only be one server, which was our one complaint and why we didn't give a 5 star. We never had anyone ask if they could refill our drinks. My husband wanted another cup of coffee but didn't get that. My husband ordered the Tio's chilaquiles, which he said were super delicious and had great flavoring. I had the classic breakfast, I prefer my eggs cooked more and not wet, but they were ok, my dish was very plain. We added the large lemon grab baby and the banana bread as well. We would pass on the lemon grab baby next time as neither of us ate much of it (if you like lemon, then you will enjoy it), but the banana bread was very good, definitely worth ordering if you go. We would come again and try other plates to see if they are just as flavorful.

Came for brunch on a Saturday. We had the break beets and the breakfast sandwich. I loved the break beets with the avocado on the side. The chive goat cheese with the pickled carrot and egg was an amazing flavor combo. I do wish it came with a better cutting knife and heavier plate though. The lightweight plate moved around when I cut the bread. My husband loved his breakfast sandwich. We sat for probably 10 minutes before anyone came to our table, but after that service was timely and efficient. I hope that this restaurant does well. We plan to return for dinner and dancing!

The food was great! Highly would recommend the Brekky sandwich! Watch out though -the mimosa flight is literally a full bottle of Prosecco-but fun to drink! Staff were prompt and friendly . Nice eclectic atmosphere.

Visited on Saturday with toddler. We made a reservation but there were plenty of tables available at open. That said, it was nice to have a table set with a high chair ready to go. Got the brunchwich (with side winter citrus salad) and hash, a side of sausage and a side of banana bread pudding. Friend also got a small lemon drop pancake to go. Service was decent, the restaurant was a bit loud for 9am but at least my toddler could wander and play and I didn't worry about disturbing others. Food was great! I will definitely come back. The salad was worth the up charge. Toddler mostly ate snacks but I thought the menu was ok for sharing with a kid, if they're not feeling picky. I liked the brunchwich but will try something else next time. The hit for me was the small banana bread pudding we tried! I think we were in n out in a little over an hour- it was a nice treat for Saturday morning.

Great food and vibe. Aaaaaaand RECORD SCRATCH! Wha wha what?? They converted the back into an EDM club - Club Dialogue. Here’s a video snippet of the first two weekends they opened the dance floor and for this 3rd weekend (March 9, 2024 @ 10pm), Gritty Alphabet is bringing the house music. Tacoma stepped up a notch with the addition of this dance floor.

I came here for brunch on a Saturday. They recommend making reservations which we did but there would have been plenty of tables available for walk ins too. I loved their menu and the food was great . We ordered the breakfast hash, banana bread pudding and the brunchwich. The meals were all delicious, I liked that they came with a small salad which I love at brunch. The portions are also appropriately sized which is nice in comparison to some places that try to serve you a 2600 calorie meal for breakfast. The things I didn't like as much was the atmosphere of the restaurant. This is 100% just my preference and I'm sure there are plenty of people who would disagree with me. Generally the vibe is like a club, they had a kind of lounge techno playing. It was not excessively loud but louder than I want in the morning. I found it to be a bit too club like for my taste in a brunch spot. But to be clear it's not enough of an issue that I wouldn't come back. The excellent food and the reasonable prices more than make up for any minor issues I have with ambiance. In summary, the food is good and the price point is reasonable. I would recommend for brunch.
