We went in without a reservation and although they were busy, we were greeted and welcomed. Staff sat us and served us exceptional customer service. we were checked on, informed of specials and tables cleared after every serving in a timely fashion. There is a large parking space just beside the property. Everything from the appetizer and starters to the dessert was delicious. We enjoyed the warm, cozy atmosphere both inside and outside of the restaurant. we left this establishment feeling full but not heavy. I understand why it would be super busy on such a rainy day. Definitely would return through a storm.

Marzano's food is always delicious, warm, and full of flavors. You can taste the time and effort they put into the food. Service is always impeccable.Last night I ordered BOSCAIOLA pasta which came with bread and a side salad, and also the TOMATO BRUSCHETTA. AMAZING.

We often dine here when visiting from Hawaii, why? Everything is excellent from service to food and ambiance. Only issue, some tables are set a bit close together making the dining experience a little louder (resolved by asking for a more private area). Marzano has become one of our "go to" for delicious Italian cuisine in Tacoma and outside of Hawaii.

The atmosphere is dim lit and cozy. The food is the issue here. Ordering their main steak plate you’ll get a piece of meat that is mostly gristle. Ordering it medium came out to a prime rib type of medium rare. The table next to us were apparently regulars and both complained about it telling their waitress they need to get a new meat guy.Our pasta dish had to go back as it was so heavy with pepper you could eat it. The regular fettuccine dish brought as a replacement was fine though.Their house salad was delicious. Their Caesar salad was not so much. Very bitter however that may just be the way theirs are suppose to be. Never had a bitter Caesar salad before. The wait staff was very polite and understanding however we waited a good 15 minutes after finishing before our waiter came back to our table to offer the check. May just be a staffing issue with to many customers. We won’t be returning, but this could have just been an off night so feel free to check it out as we did from other good reviews prior to our visit.Parking: You can park on the street or go down an alley between the restaurant building and the adjacent building. You can also loop around and park in the large university parking lot and just walk across the street to the restaurant.

Holy cow but this is some of the best food I've ever had. I had the short rib and it was the most tender and delicious ice ever eaten.

Everthing from friendly, efficient service to food presentation and flavors were excellent. We were hoping for a quieter dining experience though. Still, we return here 2x yearly from Hawaii to enjoy Italian cuisine we can't quite get in the islands. Marzano is a definite recommendation!!

Marzanos was recommended to me by a friend. You’ll want to make a reservation. I had the hanger steak salad, I was disappointed by the lack of flavor. My fiancé had the New York steak and said he really liked it. The service was excellent, the wait staff was polite and attentive. We were seated in a corner right outside the kitchen door and that was unpleasant. The chairs were wildly uncomfortable for such an “elegant” restaurant. It felt too expensive for our experience.

Food was good, service was excellent but I have a hard time paying $27 for pasta and a little sauce. I felt like the menu is written with a ton of Italian cuisine buzz words therefore you pay an extra $10 per plate. It's good It's just not for me.

As always at Marzano, it was an amazingly delicious meal with great service. We were lucky enough to get a special table (thank you Brian) and that made for a quiet dinner. The Walla Walla onion appetizer special was very "special" as was the large bone short rib on menu. Best ever!

Holy Bowl of Pasta! This place is truly a gem. My wife and I wanted a fancy dinner, but didn't want to dine in and Marzano's met that mark. Even better, wine bottles are 30% off when you order takeout. We mmmhhh'd, oooo'd, & awww'd our way through every bite and sip we took. Definitely call ahead, as takeout orders are based upon kitchens ability to handle an order. Dine in orders obviously take priority. We ordered on a Thursday night and the restaurant was packed when I arrived to pickup our food. The gentleman who helped me was beyond knowledgeable of the wine list, and definitely exuded owner/sommelier/management vibes. He was very nice and accommodating even though I was way under dressed and much younger than most of those eating there that evening. Date night vibes for sure. Dimly lit, not a huge space, candle lit, renovated house turned chic restaurant. My wife and I will definitely be returning to dine in person, and 10/10 would recommend all the items we ordered. On another note: My wife hates all cheeses in the blue cheese family, and loved the Gorgonzola pizza. I specifically didn't point out that it was a blue cheese till she was raving about how much she loved the pizza. More proof than Marzano's is doing it right! We ordered 3 food items and a bottle of wine. DUCK PROSCIUTTO BOARD -- 25 Duck prosciutto, Scorpion sheep's cheese, Manchego, quince mostarda, pickled cherries, dried fruits and nuts, grilled baguette toasts. 22 (gf) GORGONZOLA WALNUT -- 28 Fresh pears, gorgonzola dolce, walnuts, prosciutto, mozzarella, balsamic reduction. CAPPELLACCI -- 29 Potato, leek and gruyere filled cappellacci pasta, melted leek crema, creme fraiche, truffle pearls, reggiano. Wine 20 Soave Classico Gini Veneto -- 38
