Really wonderful place for a date night. The staff was incredibly friendly, the food was amazing, and the ambiance of the restaurant was great. Would definitely come here again. I had the over the moon lasagna and my wife had the scallops. Both were excellent!

We came in for the first time last night to celebrate our anniversary. I love the ambiance and the dim lighting for date night very quaint and romantic. There was a rose and a card on the table when we sat which was very kind. Our server was lovely . The menu is seasonal and pretty limited but that is understandable. As far as food went the Brussel Sprout starter was delicious and rich. I enjoyed the pear wedge salad. My husband not as much as the dressing was more of a poppy vinaigrette than the traditional creamy that he is use too. Husband enjoyed his steak however the reason for 4 starts is that my spring risotto with shrimp was Luke warm and undercooked. I hated to ask the server to heat it up but I had too. She took the plate and heated it which made it better but the risotto still had some of the grainy crunch and not a lot of seasoning other than straight up richness. A bit disappointing.Drinks and wine were good and we will be back.

Expensive for portions of food. Beet salad and "cheese cake" were excellent. The room was a little too dark for my taste. Couldn't read the bill without my phone flashlight.

Oh my goodness, my friend and I had THE greatest dining experience last night (3/16/24) at Over the Moon Cafe. We flew in earlier in the day and had absolutely no idea where we would have dinner so we did a Google search and I saw a picture of the steak and thought it looked so good. We read the reviews and they were outstanding so we knew that’s where we’d be having dinner. A great meal to celebrate my birthday ??Our server Danielle was AWESOME! Oh my goodness - she was so fun! Since we were celebrating my birthday, there was a handwritten card from the OTM team with a rose ? on the table when we arrived. The ambience and vibe topped off this great dining experience. Good background music, moody lighting.The meal:•I had the ribeye steak (medium) with the mashed potatoes and veggies•My friend has the braised short rib raguThere was a moment at the table where we could not talk. All we did was nod our heads in approvement of how good our meals were.Danielle brought out a plate with Happy Birthday written in chocolate with a glass of their HOMEMADE vanilla ice cream (made with a little bourbon). So good! Their entire dessert menu sounded delicious.I can’t say enough about how great the entire dining experience was! If I’m ever in the Tacoma area again, I will be SURE to visit this gem again ????

First time in recently and wow, my bf and I absolutely loved it. The setting is very small and intimate and I love how they decorated everything. The food was delicious and very flavorful and fresh tasting. Service was amazing as well. Definitely will be back.

My dinner at Over the Moon Cafe was fantastic. I put that my girlfriend and I were celebrating our 1-year anniversary, and without further prompting they put a rose and card on the table to celebrate. The food is expensive, but tastes incredible. Thank you to Over the Moon Cafe for making that night a very memorable experience.

Small menu but plenty of variety. We shared a shrimp appetizer that was terrific. Wife totally enjoyed her cioppino entree, and my braised short rib ragu was outstanding. Since we have different tastes in wine, we ordered by the glass, and their lower price options were great. Service was excellent. Very attentive and prompt.

A staple. Have literally anything on the menu. You won't be sorry. The love notes at the tables make my heart smile. And Danielle is the absolute best thing about this place!!

Sometimes food is delicious because you're hungry, but at Over the Moon, food is delicious because it is so well made. The risotto and scallops were phenomenal.Also, cheers for a selection of gluten free items, and a waitress who could speak confidently to other allergens in the restaurant. I'm hard to feed, but she treated it easy.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free clearly marked on the menu. The wait staff was knowledgeable about other allergens as well.

Very unique atmosphere, loved it. Each table has a little chest full of love notes past patrons have left. Makes for fun conversation reading through the notes. Food was great, drinks were great. I would recommend!
