This is the place for tacos and drinks. Their menus are nuance with calling things tacos and nontoacos(quesadea and etc). The chips and salsa and guacamole is amazing and they have all the toppings for hot sauces. Highly suggest if you like tacos or nontacos.

Yum! The queso is SO good, and the chips are homemade. We had a variety of tacos and all were delicious. Extra yummy noises for the agave shrimp & elote, Korean BBQ beef, Philly cheesesteak, and catfish tacos. Beans were tender and well-spiced, too!

Some of my least enjoyed tacos. I had the Baja and the adobo tacos. Not a fan of breaded deep fried fish for tacos- bad on me for not looking closer. The adobo pork was cubed pork that was dry. Service was good , we came for lunch , it was basically empty had to wait maybe 15 mins for a table that was empty since we walked in the door.

It was a busy Saturday afternoon but we didn't have to wait long for a table. Staff were friendly and had great recommendations. Baja fish tacos are a definite must! They were amazing. Our margaritas were perfectly made. I'll be back for sure- and soon!

This place is AMAZING!!! Food is exceptionally flavorful. Drinks are delicious. Service is top notch. And for all that you’d expect to pay top dollar right? Nope! Prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend! For 3 of us lunch was under $50 (not including alcohol)

We came in to a very busy environment and were promptly seated and served within just a few minutes. Food was great, fast, reasonably priced and everyone was very nice. 100/10

It's a cool little hipster spot in Tacoma. If you want Azteca or another chain restaurant type of Mexican food, this isn't for you. The menu is unique. I don't drink, but they have a big tequila selection. I had the baked potato with taco toppings, which was good!

We ate here late at night at the happy hour, the menu had good choices and the chicken tacos were really good. The waitresses and customer service is really good. I would highly recommend the street tacos and the guacamole. The bar area can get a bit loud with some customers. But overall, it was a good experience.

Red Star? More like one star. I was appalled at the amount of queso I received in my to-go order. It wasn’t even enough for one person. I’ve been to dozens of Mexican restaurants in the Tacoma area and I’ve never seen a serving size as pathetic as this one. HIGHLY disappointed and I will not ever be a customer again. Fix your sorry excuses for serving sizes and maybe, just maybe, I’ll reconsider. Go to Cactus, El Toro, Moctezumas, Matador, really anywhere else if you actually want to leave full. Don’t waste your money here. I feel like I wasted $12 on absolutely nothing. The chips were not included as well. Had to pay another $3.50 for those and half of them were broken and in pieces/crumbs. Two thumbs down. A fruit cup has more substance. Don’t eat here. Support a business that cares about customer satisfaction.
