Went for lunch during a weekday. It wasn't crowded at all. Pretzel with sauces was really good. Ordered a burger which was also tasty.

One star for quick service and one star for beer Came for a dinner before an event at the Tacoma Dome and really wish we just ordered drinks for dinner... The food: - Rheinhaus burger (1/5) and side salad (0/5): sponsored by SuperDryBread and Thousand Island dressing. One bite of the side salad was enough. Avoid both. - Currywurst and Fries (2/5): Fries were the highlight of the food orders - Pork Schnitzel (1/5) with Potato cakes (negative/5): looks can be deceiving. The pork was dry and over-seasoned, which is odd because the potato cakes were gummy, bland, and spat out after another half bite. My guess is Chef Mike Rowave got me again :( Like I said, come for the drinks. Stay for the games/ambiance. With the exception of fries, avoid anything that comes from the kitchen :(

It's no mystery why they are closing. Mediocre food, uninspired menu, lethargic staff, weird hours. The only thing more depressing is that the new business will be a sports bar. Yet another sports bar. Because in Tacoma there's no demand for quality food, just beer and big tv screens.

2 stars because the beer is good and the food came out so quickly!! Tried this for the first time because going to a show at Tacoma dome and it's close by. Avoid food :/ DO NOT GET THE BURGER. dry bread, overuse of 1000 island dressing. And AVOID THE SALAD. It looked like 2 bites of food and then when you took a bite all you wanted was to spit it out. Potato pancakes are also funky. Ambience is cool tho so if you want beers and chill place to play bocci ball could be good.

First off this whole review is about experience not food so if that's what anyone is reading for maybe skip this one. I forgot what our sever name was but he was hella cool. Very accommodating & friendly. I'd go back again solely off the strength of his service. & this ain't the mimosas talking lol. If I go back ima find out who he was & add his name here. Mimosas 5/5 and we had a pallet of different juice to choose from really happy about that'

Who ever the new owners are, took an icon and fabulous place and ran in into the ground… We were huge fans of the original. Total garbage service. Guess all good things come to an end.

We love Rhein Haus, but the management leaves something to be desired. On at least two occasions we’ve shown up during normal business hours and they weren’t open. Nothing was posted to their website or Instagram about their closure. We showed up on New Years Day for liters and they were closed, even though they had a sign on their front door and an Instagram post stating they’d be open for business specifically on that day. More recently, we made reservations for 2 at 3:15 on a Sunday. One of the employees called me to confirm the reservation and inform me they were only open until 4 that day. I said that was fine, as we’d just have a liter. When we showed up, Rhein Haus was closed and chairs were on all the tables. I understand closing early if you’re slow, but you need to inform the customers that made reservations.

This place used to be great; a lick the plate type restaurant. Went there recently and couldn't make a good cocktail to save their lives. Sent it back twice and finally settled on a basic drink. Food was all super salty and I didn't even have half of it. I will give it another try in a couple years, as the quality has gone way downhill.

Went to RH with a group from work. Ordered a 1/2 liter Dunkel beer that tasted horrible, really bad so switched to Porter (very good) but they brought me a smaller size and charged me for 1/2 liter. Got the wurst/schnitzel combo, they ask which one I wanted of each, chose brat and Jaeger schnitzel. When it came I got a plain schnitzel, no Jaeger sauce. Very disappointed with it, likely not going back.

I went here originally with a birthday dinner/group and it was fun. Went back for lunch and half the the establishment was shut down. Bum deal honestly. Once I got inside seeing that part of the place was closed down. I missed the sign that said they didn't have servers coming to tables sat there for 10 minutes feeling like an idiot as I walked out and saw their sign. No one said anything while we were sitting there. Food is ok to begin with, it's beautiful location tho.

We ate at the Tacoma location with our family, 12 of use altogether (spent over $200), last Saturday about 4:30pm. The person who initially waited on us, unbeknown to us, was the manager on duty at the time. He was absolutely the rudest person we have even been in contact with at any eatery we have patronized. I'm not exactly sure what he issue was, but I have to tell you that none of us will ever be back based solely on his attitude. With that said, the younger waitress that brought our food was very polite and accommodating, however the manager on duty was the worst and is doing nothing to promote their business, he needs to develop people skills and understand that he is in the service business, which means you treat every customer with the utmost respect, and by the way we were very respectful to him. One example, and we have many more, is when we asked for a glass of water, he told us to get it ourselves. Now that's poor customer service for you!

The service was great and the food was outstanding thank you for all your help today.

Huge portions but WAY WAY WAY too salty! Cut the salt in half and everything would be good. The beet salad is good. If you want good, authentic Jagersnitzel and homemade kraut I highly recommend Bruno's.

I had high hopes for some good German food. Left disappointed. The pretzels were good. I didn't like the bar code scan menu. No pictures of what was being ordered. Seemed to be a lack of variety as well. Some one mentioned an abbreviated covid menu....I don't know, it was between fried pork or sausage. Nothing rememberable.

My favorite restaurant for house-made pretzels ? Soft & buttery. Restaurant is always clean. I recommend setting up a reservation online if ya have more than three people in your party & want preferred seating.
