Shockingly good. I was legitimately surprised by the quality, especially considering the reasonable prices. The coffee was actually good too! Easiest five star ever.Note that they do run out of biscuits at some point everyday. If they do, I'd suggest grabbing cheesecake at the least as it was also fantastic! Will absolutely go again!

Saw a video of one of their biscuit sandwiches on Instagram and followed them..been wanting to come try this place. Today is the day!! And this place is awesome! Both sandwiches we tried were so damn good! They were huge! Definitely gonna come back and try the others. This place lives up to the hype for sure! Love to support solid local businesses.

Went there for the first time and was not impressed. Disappointed. Perhaps the crew had an off day, the biscuit and gravy was mediocre, the biscuits were hard. They were not toasty and flaky. The person manning the counter was a bit harsh toward my wife, I understand there is limited seating but to explain that to my wife in a room full of customers was uncalled for. He could have done that more diplomatically. Anyway, I may or may not go back. I really wanted to be open minded and rate them appropriately but my experience there was not good.

I normally never write reviews for places till late in the game but if you don’t know about this spot, now you know!Aight, this is a legit no frills type of spot when you first step in but after you take a look around, you’re hit with nostalgia, amazing smells, and a vibe. The menu is definitely fun to read, they serve alcoholic drinks which I missed the first go around (got a chance to taste a mimosa, #blessed) coffee and juice as well.Idk what type of coffee beans they use for the drip coffee but I was thinking about it all day! I added cream and sugar but the coffee was coming all the way through! I did not need either addition to the coffee. The orange juice was so fresh, tasty, and had the perfect consistency!Food presentation was on a 1000, and the biscuits and gravy (original) are next level! I also had a side of bacon - which I am so pleased that I did not ask for it to be well cooked (normally I would) but it came out cooked to perfection.I will definitely be back to try more dishes because Side Piece Kitchen elevated what would be a basic dish in most restaurants. You order it for comfort and it delivered.I completely regret not ordering a to-go dessert like I peeped everyone else with… I was just trying watch my own calorie intake for the day… I will not leave without a dessert next time. I’d rather run more laps!

Absolutely delicious food here. An old school, small diner experience with food from the modern era. I ended up having their Philly Cheesesteak Sando. If you can get it, do so.

The reviews here are through the roof for a reason! I had been wanting to stop by but I am normally working the hours they are open when I’m nearby. I’ve lived in the south, tried all the bean and biscuit hits of Seattle and make biscuits at home. These biscuits were truly the best I’ve ever had and all the spreads were so unique and delicious too from the tangy tomato to the jam and brown sugar spread. I would definitely come back! (I actually came back twice the same day after trying the biscuit because I was so impressed and wanted to grab a slice of cheesecake for me and not just my husband). Thanks for coming to the area!

My first visit here today and I really love this place. I was met with a super friendly staff, delicious food and the perfect “closing time” music. Look forward to coming back. Thank you for the Type O Negative.

If you’re looking for a great breakfast spot with the best biscuits in Tacoma, then head over to Side Piece Kitchen at South 48th Street & Oakes. A friend recommended this place to me and I’m so glad I got to check it out. The chill 70s vibe and the old school tables made the small space cozy. Highly recommend checking this place out. Try the Croque Madammmn! So good!

Food was great (taste and presentation) and even traveled well (30 minutes).

Service was great. Even with a line to the door they were getting people's food out in a reasonable amount of time. The wait was comfortable. Really dig how they put the space together. Listening to Dilla while young folks get their dreams and I get fat? I'm in. Speaking of fat, the sandwiches were larger than expected and that's not a complaint. Me and my wife both got the hot hitter and we'll be back to eat through the entire menu. The biscuits eclipse the hype. They're damn good and that's coming from someone who was raised in the Midwest where biscuits are a staple. Happy for these people and to have this spot nearby.

So good!!! We ordered the Fig Poppa, Stoner Sos, Browned Butter Cheesecake and horchata to go. Hearty portions, reasonably priced, and just really yummy and satisfying. Best biscuits I've ever had. Despite being absolutely slammed, the counter service was really friendly and the wait for the food wasn't bad at all. It was a good time to take in the funky retro decor. The dining space is small, so be open-minded about getting your order to-go if needed, all tables were full and a line was going out the door while we were there. I'm looking forward to going back and trying more things!Vegetarian options: Plenty of options, the Fig Poppa is a meat-free hearty biscuit sandwich. There's also a delicious mushroom gravy option for biscuits and gravy.
