While the food may be good they have a weird way of running the restaurant. And they get highly insulted at any complaints. She barked at me, "you've never been here" and I don't think she knows that I came in one day and there were no customers so we left. The prices are way too high. I mean, this is Shelton.

the rating is not based on the food but service. i drove there for lunch today and they were closed even though they were supposed to be open. i made a comment on their facebook page and they deleted it instead of addressing it. they will not be getting my business, ever.

The food was wonderful! They need someone to advise them on running the front of the restaurant. There are five courses and they all were delicious. The bread pudding for dessert was one of the best I've ever had. Someone who had reviewed this restaurant made a comment that it was a project rather than a restaurant. Their profits do go to support abused women and children. That does not make the restaurant any less. Blessings is a welcome addition to the Shelton food scene.

Wife and I were in for Saturday brunch, We arrived around 11:30 am and left around 2:30. The food was quite good but from the time we ordered until we recieved our food at the table over 2 hours had passed. Literally there was only one other table of 2 people in the restaurant at the time so we visited with them for 2 hours waiting. After being open roughly a month you'd think they would be more organized to open the doors. As a chef myself the 4 of us found this unacceptable. Only complaint about the food was it was served cold after 2 hours waiting. Hope they work out the kinks as we would love to support this cause and restaurant.

The food was amazing and very authentic? Favorite were the appetizer salad/catfish/boudin shrimp and the bread pudding. Don't go there if you are in a hurry because your food is made to order and worth the wait.

New restaurant in Shelton with excellent Creole food. Beignets with Praline sauce were better than Cafe de Monde. Crayfish etouffee was authentic, spicy and rich. Finished with a heavenly Bread Pudding.
