Stopped by with a couple of friends for the ska brunch - fun crowd of locals and food was actually pretty decent. This is definitely a dive bar and expectations should be held accordingly but would 100% go back to catch a show or just do some people watching over a cold drink.

So this is my first time here ever, with my friend. I didn't realize you pay for drinks before they hand it to you. (From texas). I got a little weirded out cause did she not think we could afford the drinks ? Lol she brought them out to us then took them back? Usually get a check afterwards, which annoyed me a little which she could have just explained that's how it works. I come up for another drink and she denies me saying "your attitude is disgusting, I'm not serving you and you need to leave". Yet several people were very friendly with me , even the chef gave me free fries. The fat blonde girl has no manners and kicked me out. The bartender working 2:48pm on Friday Dec 15

The service at the Lucky Liquor is over-the-top, amazing caring. Everyone here is super helpful, including Kimberley, who deserves a raise. They always book the best bands here.. cheeseburger is not to be missed OK that's probably good enough right?
The food at this place is pretty decent. I'm vegetarian, so I ordered the vegan hot dog which came with a side of chips. The chips were so good! They felt very light and perfectly seasoned. The vegan hot dog also had a good amount of mustard and onions. I also ordered the jalapeño poppers, which were piping hot so be careful and take care that they've cooled down sufficiently. Ask for the ranch if you can! Great place to listen to live music and bask in the dive atmosphere.

Now, I had no idea this place existed and I'm a S. County Lifer. The coolest dive bar all ages(sometimes) music venues. I saw the best Punk band there, Friday the 6th (?). Ate chicken strips, had great service. The bands and the crowd were on ?!!! What a fun night.
