I was in search for a catering service for a loved one's funeral repass/reception and came across Ola Mae's Southern BBQ via Google search. The catering menu items they had to offer was exactly what myself and family was looking for. I sent a request form the day I found them and received an email a few hours later. Not only that I was able to speak with Mr. Reeves on the phone to get my order placed for 80 people attending. I also want to say the funeral was 5 days away. Mr. Reeves and his staff did an amazing job from start to finish. When it was time for the repass his staff made sure everything was taken care of from the real plates, set up of food and beverages, clean up, taking dirty plates, checking in on everyone regarding if we needed assistance with anything AND even brought to go boxes so people can take food home (a huge help for sure!).If you are looking for a southern cuisine catering services I suggest Ola Mae's hands down. The food was amazing and that is including my opinion, the guests' opinions, and my grandmother's true opinion who is originally from the South. Thank you Mr. Reeves and staff for making the day run smoothly and not have to worry about this portion as we were laying our loved one to rest. From my family truly appreciate all of you!

If you want good barbecue I mean like REAL good Southern barbecue straight from the south, these guys are the ones to get it. I've been living up here for 16 years originally from Alabama and I have not found good barbecue here until I tasted Ola Mae's southern bbq the owner is from Georgia or South Carolina one of those two. These guys barbecue remind me of being home in Alabama, too bad they only do catering.

My fiancé and I, both come from South Carolina, envisioned a Southern-themed wedding and faced considerable difficulty in finding a caterer who could deliver authentic down-home barbecue. After months of searching and taste-testing various options, we stumbled upon Ola Mae's Southern BBQ based on a recommendation.Initially skeptical, we attended a tasting at Ola Mae's, and it exceeded our expectations. The flavors resonated with authentic Southern charm, prompting us to promptly book them for our wedding. On the big day, the service was exceptional, and the food lived up to the high standard set during the tasting. Even months later, we continue to receive compliments on the delicious food.la Mae's not only wowed us with their authentic flavors but also impressed with reasonable pricing and excellent communication. They generously included extra services like plates and napkins without additional charges, setting them apart in terms of value. We're still receiving compliments on their exceptional service and delicious food. We can't help but wish that Ola Mae's had a restaurant, as we would undoubtedly be regulars.

I usually write positive reviews,, but CAN'T do this time. Ordered over 700$ for a small meet and greet with our son's future inlaws and family and picked this restaurant to cater based on reviews as we do not live in Seattle. The order and time was reconfirmed the day before the event and I thought all was set. The day of our gathering, about 15 minutes prior to agreed time, of 7 pm, I received a call from a young lady who asked to confirm the address and told me she would be running a lil late because she's heating up the food. She had the wrong delivery time of 7:30 pm; not the agreement between the owner and I. The food arrived cold at 7:25. The pans were not in any type of food delivery heat bags, just sitting on the floor and seat of her car as discovered when several of our guests had to help by carrying the pans from the car to the event room. Needless to say, I was very disappointed and embarrassed since that was our night to provide the meal. We ultimately had to heat up each guest's plate and serve. But on a positive note, the bbq sauce was really good and most of the food was good.(we ordered 10 items) the crabcakes were not good at all. Unfortunately upon our return, we will look for another restaurant! Very dissatisfied customer!

If you see this tent set up at a farmers market or elsewhere STOP - do not pass by without buying some delicious food!!! We were at the Issaquah Farmers market this morning around 10am... not hungry so we walked past but then the AMAZING BBQ aroma hit us and we back tracked to see what they had to offer. Since I couldn't eat the bun we asked if it's possible just to have pork and nothing else. The kind gentleman said they would work with us for what we'd like. Three of us gobbled down the pulled pork "snack". IT WAS DELICIOUS!!! Sometimes when I choose food to eat out I struggle with too much salt or spices with food served but not this pulled pork- it was flavorful, juicy, the right amount of sweet balanced with the right amount of spicy. We definitely will be stopping by Ola Mae's Southern Barbecue again! Go support a local business with amazing food!!

Had the catfish sandwich at a farmers market. It was "melt in your mouth" delicious!

Absolutely delicious! Anything on the menu will make you happy and super full because their portions are also huge! All three guys in the tent are cheerful, smiley and friendly. A "side" of mac and cheese ($4) was more like a full-sized bowl of mac and cheese, and their BBQ chicken dinner ($17) is seasoned so well, the meat melts off the bone, and that chicken skin is generously drizzled with a sharp, citrus-y mustard that just makes you wanna keep eating. The pulled pork sandwich ($16) tastes amazing! And it all travels well--it tastes good COLD and reheated! (Especially at 1am!) Call me weird but I need that mac and cheese cold. Anytime there in a farmer's market near me, I make sure to go hungry because I know their food is gonna make my day.*CASH IS PREFERRED and will help them out a lot! I currently don't have pictures of the food unfortunately because I ate it so fast all the times I've visited them.I'll have some self restraint next time and post a few photos!

We stopped by the Redmond farmers market and we're so pleased to find this new food option! My husband and I both had the pulled pork sandwich standalone. It was excellent with plenty of pork basted in a mustard-based sauce topped with homemade coleslaw sandwiched between two soft buns. Next time we'll try the ribs or the chicken or maybe the fried catfish. Everything looks so good! Find them on Saturdays at the Redmond Saturday Market on Willows Road May through October!
