The worker is really nice and welcoming. I enjoyed the food as well. Especially the meat, it was super flavorful.

My wife and I ordered the Chicken and Gyoza. The Gyoza was amazing, probably the best I've ever had. Crisp on the outside, warm and tasty on the inside. The dressing on the side salad was delicious. The chicken however was terrible. It was dry and tuff, most of it being closer to jerky than teriyaki chicken.

Spicy chicken teriyaki was amazing and my son said the gyozas were the best he’s had.

Stopped at Bonsai for lunch/dinner. Been here before and the portions are great. So I ate half for lunch and will eat the rest for dinner. Prices are on par with most teriyaki places in town. There is a language barrier which makes service a bit of an issue. Food is as good as most places but they give you a lot. I had Mongolian beef and as you can see by the picture, there’s a lot of beef.

Ordered and picked up my cashew Chicken meal. $22Cashew chicken as a rule should not be spicy. I took one bite - My mouth was on fire. Had no time to return to the restaurant. I believe I received someone else order. ???

We've been meaning to check Bonsai Wok out, but have never got around to it. Happily we gave it a chance and no disappointment at all. The service was fabulous. No wait and our meal was made very quickly. My son declared it's his new favorite place to eat at. I wish I had taken more photos of the interior. The entire restaurant was clean and tidy with a large bookcase with a lot of book choices for reading. The walls were filled with local artwork for sale. I'd love to come back in a few months to see if this is something they do all year long, or just during the holiday season. As we were eating our food the entire Olympia High School basketball team came in, and the staff tackled all of them with ease and quick service. If they were overwhelmed it didn't show for a moment. We will come back for sure and recommend giving them a shot if you've never been in before.

Thru door dash I ordered the Californian roll, egg rolls, and an orange chicken/broccoli and beef plate. I mistakenly assumed that the plate would include a small salad and paid for extra dressing that I did not receive. The egg roll is the best I’ve ever had and the steamed rice tastes “clean” and is cooked perfectly. The California roll was warm, had the SMALLEST smear of wasabi (I would’ve liked more) and no ginger, which is my favorite part. The orange chicken has good flavor, but no spice and sort of mushy. The broccoli beef is very soupy and the texture of the thin breading on the beef is just mush. I’d recommend the egg rolls and steamed rice. The other dishes are probably better elsewhere. Kind of a bummer to indulge and be disappointed. Fast but lacked in service.

This is one of our favorite places. The food is always excellent. It's always hot and quick. The staff always welcoming. They made the best salad dressing.

Very nice staff and quite quick. Food was good although it didn't necessarily stand out vs other teryaki/Asian bistros. I was very happy with the portion size though! More than enough food for two meals. Plenty and seating, not too busy, convenient location, easy ordering process. No hesitations in returning.

Despite working in the area for several years, I'd never tried this place. Decided to give it a chance due to the decent reviews. Ordered "daily special" of orange chicken/teriyaki chicken. Paid extra to get fried rice instead of steamed. In short, it kinda sucked. The food LOOKED good, but the flavor and texture just wasn't there. Teriyaki chicken was dry, mealy. Orange chicken drowned in strangely opaque sauce. Fried rice? Flavorless. Some reviews are a decade old, maybe this place used to be good at some point? I powered through about half because it was $19 dang dollars and I hate wasting food. It might deserve less than 2 stars but I don't want to be too ruthless. I won't be back.
