This place has changed and not for the better. I think they go by Tumwater Espresso and Deli now. Their food is not as good as it used to be, a compete turnover in staff who are no longer friendly and they give the impression that they don't know what they are doing doing. The place is often out of stock on many of their items (empty shelves, lacking ingredients to menu items, etc.). It's also not as clean as it used to be. They used to be a tight ship! They literally have black and white photos of old menus hanging up. Not professional. No longer a place to enjoy lunch. Go over to L&I's cafe instead!

Over priced even for what you get. The espresso drinks are to sugary or just taste like they need to clean their equipment. They drip coffee is pretty weak. Pod coffee is stronger. The deli meals are either pretty bland or have to much salt. Sandwiches are expensive and they put on to much mayo and or mustard. I only go here when I'm really desperate. L&I next door is a better gamble. I do like it when the BBQ outside!

By far the better option if you work at the DOC or L&I building!!!! Service, food and prices are way better than the cafeteria at L&I. I felt that my business was wanted and not expected of me. Will be giving Fresh Taste Cafe my business from here on out!

Solid meh. Don't usually have bad food, it's just not good enough for the price. Plus they have recently gotten rather stingy with adding toppings and the staff can be rather sloppy in putting together your wrap or sandwich (they had some great staff but they seem to have all left). Better places nearby.

One of the worst experiences ever. Ordered the special hold the onions +sub peppers or pepperoncinis. They screwed it up the first time--I looked at it and there was onions. I pointed this out to them and said next time ask for no onions. I told them I did ask for no onions and they still put onions on it--as if it's my fault they didn't listen. had them remake it. It took a while and while I was waiting they put another sandwich in front of me at the end of the counter and then they were calling out to people in line b/cthey couldn't figure out whose it was. I lifted the bun to check to see if it was mine--it wasn't. The staff at the counter seemed annoyed I touched it and had to throw it away. Again, not my fault they screwed up. After waiting for a while I finally got my sandwich special, which came with a side of potato wedges. I also ordered a juice. I paid $10 for my food--WAY Too much for what I got and the crappy service. The edges of the potato wedges were burned and I only got 3 wedges. On top of all that, the bun was over toasted and I was only halfway through when it got hard and dry. ON TOP OF ALL THAT, the woman standing in front of me, who was shorter than I watched me get frustrated and she told me she got skipped. When I finally got my crappy sandwich, they were starting to help the customer behind me and were about to skip the shorter woman again, so I had to interrupt them and tell them they skipped were about to skip the customer AGAIN. Even if I forget to bring my lunch, I'll elect to go out instead. Crappy food, crappy service, ridiculously high prices... I'M NEVER EATING HERE AGAIN!
What a great place for lunch. The food was as good any cafe I have ever been. They make this foccoccia bread each morning that was still warm when they made my sandwich! The soup that day was also quite tasty. I would drive to Tumwater for lunch if in Olympia it was that good!!!! dane
