I have been to this place many time by myself and the food here is always delicious but my problem the other day was actually service. I tried calling a huge lunch order a week ago. Trying to feed 25 of my co-workers as a thank you for all of their hard work. I called in to see when we could set that up and the guy on the phone asked me for a date. I told him that we are flexible with the date as it may take time to prepare for such a big catering event. He told me that they don’t do anything without a 24 hour notice so I simply said that it was no problem and we could work around their schedule. Then he proceeds to tell me what I want and I said that I would like a little of every meat. He then asked me for a budget to which I replied “we usually spend around 500$ a week on lunch, but this time we want to go all out! No limit” and the guys on the phone just kept on saying that they couldn’t do it for $500. I kept on reassuring the man to please help me take my order and that the budget is flexible. He insisted that he couldn’t help me or take my order. I mean what restaurant says no to that? My budget is flexible, my schedule is flexible, and I want to pay you a lot of money to feed my hungry co-workers. I was totally open to making it happen and their employee ,whoever it was on the phone, just refused to work harder I guess? Wack. We ended up getting some pizza from Sasquatch but we were all left dying for good BBQ.

Moist, meaty, and bland. Coleslaw tasted like cabbage and milk. The pulled pork sandwich for too much $$ had no smokey flavor, really no flavor. I think they microwaved it to heat it up and that ruined any flavor, not sure, but very disappointed, especially since we had such amazing food the last time. It's been a while but we travel an hour to get here and it's never open. Young man running it was very pleasant.

Stopped in today and got the Brisket plate with two sides. Had a tuff time with the meat, it was tough . Normally it’s very tender, but this it wasn’t.
Super friendly and kind and food was amazing, got brisket and ribs and everything was so tender and flavorful and really nice

Very good BBQ. The meat was smoked well. A lot of sauce, but it did not overwhelm the flavor of the meat. The meat on the pork ribs came right off the bone. The brisket did not need a knife and came apart easily. The BBQ sauce was Tennessee style sweet and sour and not very thick. This tastes like real homemade BBQ. You can tell they put some time and effort into their cooking. I liked the coleslaw, it was not sweet and not soggy. The collared greens were good with pieces of meat mixed in the veggies. The best part was the smokey flavor and amazing seasoning of the meats.

We've driven there from Longview twice. Both times they were closed. We checked online and both times it said they were open at both places.

The best dang brisket and pulled pork! So tender, it kept falling apart as I was picking it up. All the sides I tried were top notch as well. I'm going to have to visit the Woodland location now, so I can try the mac and cheese and the hush puppies. You will not regret eating at Daddy D's! It shares space with the gas station, but don't let it put you off: Simply go inside and order some heaven on a platter!

Saw this was highly rated and found out it's a BBQ behind a gas station!!! No one was there so we ordered nothing and left. Complete waste of time, fuel and life! Won't even consider trying again!

Another BBQ joint I've been going to for over 10 years. Daddy D's Louisiana BBQ has really come up with the brick and mortar in Woodland, the County Fair, The Moda Center, and this old, original shop in the Shell station on 4th Plain & Andresen. They sold out of Brisket a bit ago and usually sell out early in general so go earlier if you can.
