The secret place hidden in plain sight.To start with, the cook comes bubbling out of the kitchen like a Jack in the box and he’s clean and put together and friendly and most of all enthusiastic. And he seems proud and I’m disarmed right off the bat.I order the club sandwich with fries and then, I look around a bit because, because I’m nosey and I’m telling you the interior is bleak, it needs help, but it’s clean and most importantly when I look into the kitchen, it’s well organized, spacious and spotless.The cook looks in his element, a king in his kingdom. This has all the trappings of someone’s dream.So I move on to the sandwich, which is perfect in so many ways. Humble perfection. The bread is toasted to absolute delicate crispy perfection. This is so much more difficult than it seems and I have experienced many fancier places fail miserably. Either not toasted enough, or just a little too much so the bread dries out and breaks apart.It has to hold and capture the mayonnaise without getting soggy, yet maintain a good crispy chewiness. Such deceptive simplicity.Club sandwiches often lose their way like rich women on a shopping spree. Trying to fit too much into their bags as they stagger down the street.This club was perfect. Plenty of fillings and condiments, yet still maintaining its inherent integrity. Like a well told story. The whole somehow greater than the parts.It was all very simple, but well executed with love and enthusiasm. I’d give it top ratings any day. It needs a makeover, maybe a better locale, but one thing it does not need is a different philosophy.I wasn’t there long, but I’d be willing to bet that the locals love this place like their own mother’s table. It’s the kind of place that grows up from the cracks and takes a place in the local community. Where a lot of folks know each other and eating here is like breathing.I stumbled onto gold.

Just posting here to see if this place is still open. Tried calling the business number but it’s disconnected. Drove to the business on 4/10 and 4/11 during business hours but wasn’t open. No note on the front with a reason why. We’ve been waiting to try this place so if that ever happens I’ll be sure to update this review!

I am always so excited to enjoy GGs burger, during cold days it's nice to stroll in for some of his daily soup. GG always has a smile and a kind word to share. Making the experience as returnable as possible with colorful paint on the wall with all the familiarity one might expect from such a diner. I always look forward to my next visit.

My husband and I eat here all the time. Best sandwich shop in town! As other reviewers have pointed out, it's not much to look at but it is always super clean, the owners are so friendly, and I'm sure the location helps them keep their prices down!

After reading positive reviews, I was eager for a decent deli sandwich! I took a moment to lower my expectations prior to visiting… This is Vancouver, after all. Unfortunately, I should have just abandoned my hopes altogether.To be frank, I think I could find something better crafted in an alleyway dumpster in almost any half-decent city in America.I ordered a turkey melt on rye, no bacon. It was supposed to have Swiss cheese and avocado… instead I was given white American cheese and only a single slice of avocado per 1/2 sandwich. It was also somehow dry and greasy all at once?? I couldn’t bring myself to finish it.Next time, skip the wait and pick up a sandwich from any nearby gas station… it’s probably tastier than this.

I was craving a club sandwich so I googled the best place near me and this place was toward the top of the list. The club sandwich was amazing and I can't wait to go back and try more. Service was great! Friendly, attentive and quick.

Would highly recommend! It's a bit of a hole in the wall and could use some updating but it's a really good place! Staff are super nice and food was amazing. Just what I was looking for as vancouver doesn't have many hot sandwich places.

Wow! This place was so fast and good. Staff was friendly and personable. Double burger filled up my growing teen and my BLTT was delicious. We will definitely be eating here again and telling our friends. Thank you for a great meal. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️About $10/person. The specials are worth checking out. Oh and the fries were so good.

The food was very good and the price was right. I ordered the pattie melt with the tortilla soup. Everything was fresh and flavorful. I should of got some spice for my soup though. The customer service was incredible. The environment is very comfortable. Thank you guys!
