Above average food and great service but the building is a dump. I almost walked out after coming in to pick up my food because the odor of the restaurant smaked me in the face. I feel bad for the dieing fish in the fish tank. One of the patrons talked about how they haven't changed a thing in 40+ years. Welcome to a gross 1984.. I enjoyed my meal though, their kitchen is probably ok by standards.

The woman who serves the food I believe she's the owner of the restaurant has a horrible attitude problem she's very rude and disrespectful. We keep coming back to see if she would change but her attitude is horrible. The bathroom has a very bad odor of mold and feces in urine. Disgusting bathrooms. If their bathrooms are filthy what about the kitchen where they cook the food? Again the woman's attitude is horrible. She's a very mean and disrespectful person.

Got the dinner D for 2. Only $31.00 total. Generous amount of food for 2 + leftovers. The food was fresh, hot and delicious ! The veggies were fresh and crisp. Will definitely order again !!!!
Been going by this place for at least 18yrs and never stopped in. Tried it last night and food was off the charts!! Everything tasted so fresh and was done to perfection!! Huge portions. BBQ pork was the best I have ever eaten around this area. Our new go to Chinese restaurant!! Old world Chinese decor with great service.
It's a hole in the wall with great food and mediocre service. Most of their business is take out, but the food is above par!

The food is very good. It's my favorite Chinese place to go to. Prices are very reasonable, and I love the pick 2,3,4 options they offer.
I had shrimp chow mein and won ton soup delivered. The chow mein is exactly how I like it! No noodles, a lot of bean sprouts and celery. I loved it, 5 stars, highly recommended if you like your chow mein noodle-less. The won ton soup is more 3 stars. Americans don't usually put broccoli or squash in clear broth soups. The broccoli got way too soft and mushy and the squash gave it a funny flavor which was unpleasant. Remove those two things and add msg and the soup would be really good.

Staff was very nice but food was terrible! Fried shrimp and sweet and sour chicken was not cooked all the way through. Sweet and sour sauce was runny and bland. I ordered a combination plate and the SS sauce mixed with everything on my plate. Pork chow mein was good and fresh. BBQ pork was "ok" everything was very bland and pretty much tasted the same....The ambiance was outdated but very clean. We were the only people dining in and that was surprising for a Sunday afternoon. The establishment had about 5 orders to go while we dined in....

I've been coming to Shen Chang for dinner take-out for the last couple of months. The food is good, the portions are extremely generous, the prices are great and the service is always friendly. I will definitely continue to give Shen Chang my business. Highly recommend!Parking: Plenty of free parking right next to the restaurant!
