Ordered Panang Curry with Thai-hot spiciness and it was wonderfully tasty served with pork belly. Large-portioned bowl was savory with complex flavors and a nice punch of spice. Very satisfying. Quick service was enjoyable with an atmosphere during an early (11:30) weekday lunch that was cozy and tranquil. Lots of color in the room for a cheerful mood. Easy and abundant parking. If I lived in the area, this would be a regular stop.

I had the Tom Kha and didn't like the intense sweet and salty flavor. But the Thai coffee was good, a little sweeter than I usually like it. The inside of the restaurant was small but decorated well with lots of bright colors and fake floral plants. It was fairly quiet and cozy on a Monday afternoon.

"Had an amazing experience at “Chef Thai”, a Thai cuisine gem. The authentic flavors, especially the Pad Thai, were spot-on, and the Thai iced tea was a perfect complement. Beautifully presented dishes, warm ambiance, and the staff was exceptionally welcoming and helpful. A must-visit for genuine Thai food lovers. Can't wait to return!"

Good customer service and gluten free options but every item we ordered had way too much sugar in it for our taste. A sweetener is a standard ingredient in a lot of dishes but this was unfortunately well above average. :/

Nothing positive to say except that the server had a nice smile. Our orders all came out at different times, with last one not until the other 3 in our party were finished. The food did not taste fresh and was very salty. The Thai iced tea was unbelievably sweet, my son said it tasted like melted ice cream. Although the menu pictures looked decent, they were completely different from the actual dishes. And all the tables were only a few inches apart, so it was impossible not to hear the conversations on either side of us. Unfortunately, we would not recommend this restaurant.

Honestly this is one review that fill my heart to write! While most of my experience places are positive ones, with a few duds - we gave The Chef Thai Cuisine every reason to treat us a certain way, and were met with nothing but kindness and understanding! Truly exceptional, and I’ll explain! My toddler who is normally the sweetest thing, kind, and gentle was having a major sugar crash and was tired (my fellow parents know exactly what this looks like!) tears, inconsolable. If it had been just us we would have politely left, but we met two other friends and their kids there and my partner was coming over for his lunch break also. While I did my best to be considerate of other guests and go outside and walk around until our food came and we could get my littles blood sugar evened out, it was a bumpy ride (mostly for me). Our wonderful waitress didn’t bat an eye about any of it, we didn’t get a glare or an unkind word. I even apologized and thanked her when paying for our meals, and was met with so much understanding and kindness. And the food was delicious also! We had chicken satay, pad Thai and mango sticky rice. Will be recommending to anyone looking for a family friendly and delicious meal!Kid-friendliness: Above and beyond my expectations

The sauces were very thin, vegetables substandard, and every sauce was laden with sugar! Not the Thai food I'm used to. Also very expensive. The service was good and the people were nice but won't be

Based on 2 visits: The food is good, as is the service. It is a nice enough environment. I had the jungle noodles (Pad Kee Mao). I believe the others enjoyed their dish as well.

I moved to Vancouver 4 months ago and have tried as many Thai places as I could. This place was by far the best. The staff is so kind and the food is seriously on another level. You can tell they put alot of effort into their dishes. Plate sizes are pretty good too for what you pay. Oh and the inside the restaurant, so incredibly cute. Best pineapple fried rice ever with fried tofu ever!Vegetarian options: It’s Thai so they’re very flexible with meat substitutions. You can put tofu in almost anything, you just need to ask. If you want something without an ingredient they can usually make it happen with ease.

Lunch portion, dinner price. Ordered drunken noodles and picked up within 15 minutes. Noodles were not fresh, tasted reheated. Chicken was dry, stringy, and overcooked. The whole dish tasted old and had a microwaved texture. Possibly the worst Thai noodle dish I've ever had and considered driving it back to the restauran.
