Came here with a party of 8, service and food was excellent! Every single plate was worth it!

It's nice to see downtown Vancouver WA opening up chic restaurants. The price range for the main entrées was about $50-$80... Little bit too pricey for the Vancouver market in my opinion. But if you mix and matched the extras and what is called "Yakimori" then it was definitely worth it. I was with two others and we ordered the extras and the yakimori and had six different dishes that we shared! We were full. I would definitely recommend this and their drinks are pretty good too.

I Truly outstanding food. Great dinner celebrating a dear friend's birthday. Fabulous place in Vancouver.

If you want to spend $100 for a fantastic weekend lunch with your partner, this is the place for you. We lunched in the bar. The drinks were top notch, and offered from a well curated list. Our food was delicious. The duck fat fries were creative and fun. We got the Yakitori skewers in chicken, shrimp, and squash. My fave was the squash. The shrimp was a touch overdone (which is easy to do with shrimp) but had excellent flavor. The chicken thigh had a beautiful charring. We will absolutely be back.Vegetarian options: Yakitori skewers have a few vegetarian options.Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: Ease of access to bar from the bar’s street entrance, not from the restaurant, as there are stairs between the interior bar and main dining room. Low tables can easily have chairs moved to make room for a wheelchair.

The lamb belly pasta was just okay. The special risotto was very good. The baked bree was delicious, but the fried olives were weird. I think they used too much cornmeal.Good selection of top shelf liquors and cocktails.I felt like it was a little pricey for the quality of food. We'll go back and try some other food items in the next couple of months.

Don't let my review deter you from visiting! Usually, this place is fantastic, but I want to share a recent disappointing experience for transparency.About a month ago, I hosted a business meeting here with 10-12 people. The waitress mentioned a Miso Seafood Pasta Special, with only one portion left. After everyone else ordered, I decided to try it. Unfortunately, my meal never arrived. Despite reminding the waitress after everyone else finished eating, it took a long time to come out. It was frustrating to watch my colleagues enjoy their meals while mine was nowhere to be seen. When it finally did arrive, I had to take it to go, and I was still charged full price without an apology or explanation for the delay. It was evident my meal was forgotten, and there was no effort to make up for missing out on dining with my group. Though I would have asked for the charge to be removed in other circumstances, I felt hesitant in a business setting. I ended up eating the meal cold later that night, which was still enjoyable, but the experience was disappointing, especially considering the anticipation built by the waitress's description of the special dish.Overall, this place is usually great, with delicious food, good drinks, and decent service. However, I suggest sticking to the bar side where the staff excels, unlike the mediocre service in the restaurant area.

While exploring various venues for my father's retirement celebration, I stumbled upon The Sedgewick as a potential choice. We had a guest list of approximately 75 individuals, and this family-operated establishment went above and beyond in delivering an exceptional experience. The ambiance they created was outstanding, complemented by their excellent food, beverages, and customer service. I highly endorse this downtown Vancouver restaurant for anyone looking to host a memorable event. They truly made the evening unforgettable for our entire group.

I love the vibe in The Sedgwick bar for happy hour or late night drinks with friends! I recently attended a private event in the dining room and was really impressed with both the service and delicious food!

Our family had a very special event to plan. We chose The Sedgwick for several reasons: the ambiance, the amazing menu and the joyful staff. Working with them to plan our event was a breeze, they made us feel like Kings and Queens, they bent over backwards to accommodate our every request and made us feel so comfortable. As the event date arrived the staff gracefully adjusted to our unreasonable requests, staffed up and provided the most welcoming atmosphere. When looking for a place for a quiet date night, an important business meeting or a special event we highly recommend - The Sedgwick

Such a nice place to grab dinner or even just a drink! The food is phenomenal! They always have such fun drinks too! The fried olives are a must if you haven't been!

We like coming here for unique cocktails and the appetizers are good however they are pretty expensive Great atmosphere for a pre dinner drink but I'd go elsewhere for the big meal

I've been here 5x since it first opened. I kept going back because I REALLY want to like it. Great ambience. Amazing, unique menu, that sounds like top chef quality food. But damn, it's left me disappointed every time. The Yakatori is the best thing on the menu (so good) but has TRIPLED in price since opening, without the portion getting bigger. 4-5 bites on a skewer is not worth $12-$16. Go back to your original price of $4-$6. Every time I've ordered a full meal it's been over cooked and/or so bland I want to cry. I've gotten several cocktails there to try and soothe my after dinner disappointment , but those also made me want to cry. I get the feeling that management is too cheap to hire good experienced chefs and bartenders. The servers are great and super sweet but seemed stretched thin and stressed out. Another clue that there's a management problem. I'm out of chances to give this place. Until I see that it's under new leadership I probably won't be back.
