I had a wine tasting scheduled here, but was not expecting such an exceptional experience. The Chihuly tasting room and countryside view were breathtaking. The wines were delicious (would highly recommend their Cab Sauv, I got 2 bottles!) and the tasting experience was very well done. The employees were so knowledgeable and personable at the same time. We were cordially welcomed by Anya, our newlywed wine serving specialist who made us feel like friends enjoying a glass of wine with her. She fielded our sometimes random questions and offered lots of info on the wines, but didn't overwhelm us. We enjoyed a visit from the head wine maker, Gil, who helped us with our French pronunciations and shared some laughs. Long Shadows is one of my favorite Washington wineries. Gilles, the winemaker, is impressively adept at his craft. This is one of the few wineries where I absolutely enjoyed every bottle that I tasted. Feather is my personal favorite bottle, but my friends all had their own!
