Frankly, one of the best, all-around, dining experiences I've had recently. The tomahawk steak and the kale pesto & spinach conchiglie were perfection. The real highlight was the bruschetta special topped with burrata and what I think was a rich, red pepper oil.

This place was recommended to us and we ended up sitting at the bar for dinner. My husband asked about a table that sat empty for 55 minutes but they would not seat us at the table. We would have ate and left. As we were waiting for a table the bar tender asked us, four times if we were ready to order. I asked him if we need to rush. He said no we're not that busy at the moment. We ordered our food, sat at the bar because no table became available. I had the New York steak which was very salty but tender. My husband had the lasagna and it was three pinwheels of cheese and sauce. Very disappointing. I would think twice before we went back.

The olives are a must have appetizer. The olives are the best olives I have ever tasted. They are marinated in lemon and orange rind, rosemary, basil, garlic. I had the meatballs which were loaded with flavor from the herbs. Great bar to sit at and have conversation with the bartenders. Very attentive to needs! This restaurant is popular due to the food being so good. You might want to make reservations or plan on a wait. Great ambiance! I would return every time I visited Walla Walla.

Hit and miss... small portions for the price. Cocktails are good. The atmosphere is really what sets this establishment apart from others in town. Good vibe. Friendly staff. A dash overrated. Would be nice to see alittle more creativity with the menu, is it Italian? I'm not sure.. idk t know if they know either, I think it's Italian. Hmmmm would love to see a delicious crab lasagna with a lobster and shrimp cognac tomato stock all stewed down For this crab lasagna that I've created in my head. With Dash of breadcrumbs and lemon zest and Parmesan ... ooooph! Think about it!! Pick up the tempo, Passatempo ! It's always the same thing in the menu I feel like.

TLDR; amazing food that surpasses any American-Italian joint and sit a lot closer to authentic Italian flavors. We came in on a weekend (with reservations, which I recommend) for dinner and left very very happy. We ordered the mushroom conchiglie, spicy pepperoni pizza, red pepper bruschetta (which was on the specials menu) and a tiramisu. Everything was spectacular, although the tiramisu was a bit of a let down.Portion sizes are a lot more normal and not the typical American gigantic sizes, but are super filling nonetheless.Vegetarian options: Options may be limited but are very very good.

We dine here on every visit to Walla Walla. The food is always exceptional, service timely and courteous and enjoyable wine list. Make a reservation and go or call ahead and see if you can snag a table. It's worth it!

Two word review: Profoundly Overrated.I have tried to get into this place so many times, only to be shut down by the lack of available reservations, that I assumed it was amazing. But, how wrong I was. There seems to be an aspect of big fish, small pond to this perception - it’s Walla Walla after all.The service was hit and miss. They seemed to have great intentions, but the front of the house was rattled despite it being a Monday in February. As a solo diner I was seated at the bar - which I am sure worked for them - but there were many empty tables - and that’s what I said I would have preferred. The meal:Caesar salad was good - I ordered the anchovies and they were high quality. Overall the dressing was too acidic for my palate. The croutons were dry AF and had zero flavor - a retraction not an addition to the dish. Then I had the Carbonara. WOW. Totally flavorless and way too salty - and to be clear I am not afraid of salt.Honestly, I almost wish I had gone to Applebees. The Walls GSM I had was the highlight of the meal.

You should check this place out. It’s got authentic roots. It’s not cheap either. The food is so good.

My dream, hope and desire was set on a "Fred Flinstone" sized, 64oz Hatchett Porterhouse. Wifey said, hell no! Grumphy, bitter and planning a sneak out backup dinner from anywhere I ended up here. Opened the menu and went "#@$# thats pedestrian", im not gonna find anything here to eat. So I went with Lasagana and Ragu, figuring no one can screw that up too badly. I should mention im no culinary expert but work has allowed me to eat at Noma, Dinner by Blumenthal and numerous extremely highly rated resturants all over the world. I starred at the concoction called focaccia bread. Wow, it was amazing. Every single dish we had was incredible. Suddle flavors, well balanced and unique in ways I cant really describe and I was trying hard to identified the myriad of ways the Chef had gone with some of these choices. Simply put I couldnt rememeber a better itialian meal, ever, outside of Italy itself. Eeven the desserts, marvelous! Tiramisu that could make a grown man cry, amaretto was barley there and no spounge effect in the layers. The attention to detail in this dessert was nothing short of impressive. I fear most patrons might miss the minute details that make this a world class eatery. This is why we have michelin stars (they should have a few) and this was the biggest culinary surprise of my life. When you goto Noma or Dinner by Blumenthal you expect... WOW. This is equally as good and far cheaper. Deep admirations to the Chef (Sam I beleive), outstanding job!
