The book character themed names of the wines add an interesting touch to the experience. Nice ambience.Be sure to check out the patio in the summer.

Solid wines and a nice tasting room. Huge outdoor area for summer tasting. Inside can be fairly loud. Pricing is on the upper side.

Just did a mystery dinner. It was so much fun. Could have been more clear with what the objective was but had a great time dressing up. Wine is okay! The staff that put this on they are amazing!!!

J Brookwalter stood out for my little wine tasting friends for a few reasons. While the ambiance is fairly basic and nothing of great note the service and the wine was delightful. I very much appreciated that we had options here. I opted for the Readers Tasting while my friends tried the Luxury Tasting. They very much enjoyed their wines trading tasting notes and discussing flavors. The staff here was very engaging. They told us the history, the grapes, the vineyard. They told us stories and asked us where we had gone. It was a very welcoming environment which I thoroughly enjoyed.

A lovely smaller tasting room in Woodinville. A terrific Chardonnet (Double Plot) for those who hate Chardonnet - so clean and fruity and fresh! Super service and a great monthly book club as well for fans of speculative writing, mystery, and poetry!

A lovely smaller tasting room in Woodinville. A terrific Chardonnet (Double Plot) for those who hate Chardonnet - so clean and fruity and fresh! And really good reds. (Cute new labels, too!) Two friends and I booked a reservation for a Saturday at noon on the patio. Since the weather turned out to be cloudy, there weren't many customers sitting outside. Normally, tables are reserved for up to 90 minutes, but since the patio wasn't full, they kindly let us sit there and catch up with each other for a few hours. The studio offers two different tastings - the Reader's Tasting ($15) and Luxury Tasting ($25). Each one comes with five wines. Our server explained that the wines in the Reader's set can be found in retailers, whereas I believe the ones in the Luxury set are their reserve wines. I got the Luxury tasting which came with two white wines and three red wines. It started off with 100% Chardonnay and ended with 100% Syrah. While I'm not a wine aficionado, I enjoyed trying the variety and did my best to detect the flavors as described on the menu. Their food options were pretty slim and we ordered three of their snack items to share. Contrary to earlier Yelp reviews, they no longer allow you to bring outside food in. + Parmesan Crisps ($6): These were prepackaged from the vendor, Joyful Bakery. They were thin, salty and nice to munch on. + Hummus & Pita Bread ($6): Triangles of lightly toasted pita bread and some crackers came served alongside a small cup of red pepper hummus. The cup of hummus was tiny, so you could only spread a super thin layer on the bread. I thought it would have come with at least a small bowl of it. + Patio "Picknick" ($15): This snack kit included Calabrese salami, provolone cheese, olives, fig jam and four small packs of crackers. I enjoyed the salami and cheese, but this item seemed pretty overpriced for what you get. The service was great! Our server poured each sample one at a time rather than in a "flight" style all at once. I could tell he was really passionate about wine as he energetically described each one. There were only two servers for all guests, so they had to constantly monitor all the tables outside and inside to judge when each person was ready for their next pour. The patio is perfect for sunny days as they have tables with umbrellas and also a tent with about six tables if you want some extra shade. Additionally, there is plenty of parking unlike some of the other wine spots in the area. My friends and I had a nice time here enjoying a little wine, each other's company and the springtime weather.

Such a fun theme. It feels like they could really amplify the storytelling in their website. Their employees live the product and love books. They even have a book club paired with one of their wines, which was fun. I only found a sav blanc I liked. All the others were not my favorite. The location is pretty subtle on the outside. It's in the parking lot on the backside of the Maryhill Tasting brick building.

One of my favorite wine makers in WA. High end wines at reasonable price points. Some value wine as well. Servers are generally well educated in WA wines. Always a solid experience.

Overview: Good wine tasting room. It seems to be among the more popular ones in the Woodinville wine tasting area. They cater to both casual and serious wine drinkers. They serve snacks as well. They have indoor and outdoor seating, overlooking a parking lot and street.Context: We went around 4 PM on a summer Saturday.Tastings: They have three tiers of 2 oz. wine tastings - $12 basic tier (3 wines), $20 luxury tier (4-5 wines), $20 premium tier (2 wines, special single vineyard of $100+ wines). The glasses are tapered at the top and made all of the wines smell perfumey. Wafting is probably the best way to smell the wines. The basic tier is either all white and rosé, all red, or a mix. The wines were quite nice, with balanced acidity and body. We were told that all of the wines were produced by a guy who is leaving to start his own vineyard. Starting next year, wine profiles may be different, but I am optimistic about quality. The luxury tier was comparable to the basic tier in terms of quality (in my opinion). The main difference seemed to be that the luxury tier wines were mostly from single or few vineyards while the basic tier usually had fruit from various vineyards. The premium tier consisted of primarily (95%+) cabernet sauvignon wines that were picked from single vineyards from grapes that were grown closest to the wine (meaning ripest grapes). At $10 per pour, these wines may seem expensive, but for the two wines we tried you could definitely taste the differences in terroir. Just completely different profiles for very similar compositions. I highly recommend this tasting for wine lovers.Value: These prices were comparable to other wine rooms in the area - ~$4 per pour, or $20 for 4-5 wines. Wine rooms usually waive a tasting with the purchase of a certain amount of bottles. 3 bottles to waive a basic tasting or $50+ purchase of wine to waive a luxury tasting. The value isn't as great on these deals as at other places (which is usually the purchase of a single or two wines of any price waives a tasting).Service: Water was initially stingy, but once we started asking for water more aggressively, they came by and gave us more more frequently. :)Our server was fairly knowledgeable about the winery and some of the wines, but you can find spec sheets online for the basic wines and they will provide paper copies for the luxury and premium wines upon request. All of the workers were constantly moving and busy, but they seemed to enjoy the work.We were kindly told that outside food was not allowed, but they sell their own nuts and small snacks as well.Overall: We ended up buying 3 bottles of wine. Most wines were dry or semi-dry styles and acidity was balanced very well. We would go again, despite the busy-ness because all of the wines were delicious. Service was good overall, but I think they should invest in a water tank. 4.5/5 would go again.

This bistro has fantastic service and is dog friendly! They brought Lucy the dog some water, and had a secret kids menu. My husband and I loved our meals. The best part was the truffle aoli that came with the frités. I was only a little disappointed in the amount of local wine on the menu, but the Brút Rosé and Blood Orange Cider were both very good.

Delightful and engaging staff enjoys sharing their delightful wines. This fantastic space is great for groups( make a reservation if more than 4 people) or by your self tastings. They have beautiful in door and out door seating and access to food near by allows for a fuller service kind of experience. Grab a friend and check them out. .
