“We come down from Antigo quite often, especially for your Sunday chicken dinners! Best around by far. Brought our son last Sunday for his 1st time and he agreed on best chicken dinners around! Really love the buns also!! Wondering if they are made from scratch in house, because they are delicious ! Can a person get them by the dozen if ordered ahead of time?Anyway…. “Great place with really beautiful taxidermy! Two pool tables and a nice horseshoe pit with bleachers for guests to watch. Food is great and if you love Lotsa mottza pizza like me, this is a good place to go for it! Two tables full of people playing sheepshead and having a great time on Monday evenings! Stayed for many hours! Would definitely go again and again!”

“I've been to the bar a few times now and it's somewhere that my family growing up went to and friends still go but I can't say I've been there enough to rate who works there and there services but the few times I've gone I've enjoyed there pool table and dart board and other games pretty sure they still have the pull tabs and they have a nice smoking room in back I'd go again most definitely”

“The best soft serve icecream experience I've had. They have a huge variety of flavors from cones to sundaes to smoothies and many more. They also have lots of food basically anything you can think of. There lots of places to sit down and eat. I recommend taking your whole family here my ice cream came to me less than 2 minutes of ordering, everyone was super nice and the ice cream was really really good. Stop into Diane's in birnamwood it really slaps hard”

I honestly could only finish half and I was struggling a 1/4 of the way through. it's worth every penny. “I was here with a large group. Started off in the bar for drinks and "Oh What Fun!: It was mostly our group but several regulars were there and they were fun and engaging. This is a family owned business and they know how to deliver fun and food. They were busy, but made time to talk which always makes me feel welcome. They are known for their Wisconsin Old Fashions. I had a whiskey old fashion with sweet and sour (I'm complicated) and it was so good, had 2! For dinner we had the best fried chicken with light crispy skin (my fav), mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, the creamiest cole slaw, and dinner rolls.Will definitely make another stop that way, maybe to sub on their Monday night bowling team!”

“Found this little, vintage gem on Yelp. In all of our 40+ years of coming up to the Northwoods as adults, we never had heard of this diner and yet it has been around since 1945 and claims to be the oldest family-run diner/cafe in Wisconsin. Once I read the history of Dixie Lunch I knew we needed to be part of the history too! It is a no frills diner but don’t let the lack of modern and new prevent you from checking out this downtown Antigo staple. The specials will draw you in and the classics will keep you coming back. My husband ordered the Tuesday Special of Jaeger Schnitzel w/mashed potatoes & gravy and red cabbage. He said it was some of the best he had ever tasted. I ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger and homemade fries. It was delicious! Bacon was a little thicker than most other establishments use and it was crispy, just like I like it. The burger was juicy and the combination made it one of the best I have had in a long time. We finished our lunch off by sharing a slice of homemade lemon meringue pie…oh my goodness…YUM!!! We will be back!”

“I very seldom give anyone a negative review. Been there a few times and the staff is extremely rude. Easily the worst service my family has probably ever had. Only 1/2 the order was correct (we didn't even tell them after experiencing such rude service by our waiter Timo. He rolled his eyes every time we asked for anything) - very disappointing service and food. My mom asked for silverware 3x and finally my husband went and got it for her.”
