I can’t even explain the way the country fried steak tasted. It all tasted like starch / flour. The gravy had absolutely no flavor. My order was supposed to come with a basket of biscuits and gravy, which I didn’t even get the gravy. I asked the waitress and she said I was supposed to scoop gravy of my plate. I wouldn’t go back.

I was at the Baraboo location. Its always super busy and takes a long time to get seated. They do have a merchandise store attached to the restaurant so you have something while you are waiting. Once you've been seated service is still slow. The food is good and the staff is friendly. It's just always busy so bring your patience.

We stopped because my husband wanted breakfast for dinner. I was told that my first 3 selections were unavailable due to various reasons. Ok, I'll wait until my husband is done and get Taco Bell. This lead to being harangued to buy something else despite many "no thank you, I don't want anything else here" responses. After the waitress left, the associate manager came to try to harass me into buying something that I didn't want. Both were utterly convinced that they were just doing their job to "meet my needs."

Food is great but once 8 comes around be prepared to be denied half of the items you order and when signing up for membership at register be ready to have eyebrows raised at you. Our server was amazing once the food rolled out but everyone else was pretty unpleasant. I'm hoping it was just a bad day.

My chicken was awesome but they use fake mashed potatoes, their white gravy is pasty and tasteless, but brown gravy was yummy ,the biscuits were great , the shrimp was over cooked , the chicken and dumplings were not very good ( there were 6 of us) the service was very good

Had a larger group, my food was cold. They took it back and microwave it and chicken became rubbery and added more gravy on it.
Food was really good. It was my first time going. I had the chicken sausage with some eggs and hash browns and pancakes. ? Good service and atmosphere. My friends raved about the fried chicken but I didn't try it so I guess that would be on my list of recommendations.

We love eating at Cracker Barrel. We frequent your restaurant atleast 4 times a month. Within the last month or so the service is becoming worse and worse! We were just there on August 20,22. We waited in line for 25 minutes. (there was only 2 of us) After being seated we waited another 15 minutes for a server. The waitress couldn't have been sweeter. She apologized for the wait, took our order and said she'd be right back with our drinks. Another 20 minutes passed before she returned. You could see that staffing was an issue because more then half the tables in our section had uncleaned tables. After 45 minutes of waiting for our food, our waitress came to our table and said it shouldn't be much longer. I asked her if she knew how long we had been waiting, she said yes, the cooks are taking the large tables first!!! So in other words they were just letting a party of 2 or 3 "just wait" (regardless how long they were already waiting) and serving the large tables FIRST!! Made absolutely no sense at all!!! So after ANOTHER 15 minutes we got our food! Which was disappointing in itself. Our pork chops were breaded and "rolled up". The taste wasn't bad, but they didn't look too appealing. I'm very sad to say that I don't think we'll be making your restaurant a priority when visiting the Dells. It was very disappointing.

We love the variety and quality of the food at CB, and managed to beat the crowd on this Sunday morning. Tyrone was exceptional in taking care of us. Will ask for him next time. Also love the shopping, but store was filled with waiting customers to eat, and so will do that next time.Dietary restrictions: Vegetable varieties plentiful, and sugar-free syrup.Parking: Very substantial.

Although the food was good, we waited an incredibly long time for it. We stopped on a Thursday for breakfast. The restaurant was not very busy and we got seated right away. Our order was taken within 5 minutes, and then we waited 55 minutes for it to be served.
