I planned to take a friend here to celebrate his birthday yesterday. After reading the complaints regarding the hit and miss hours, I called them at 12:16 to make sure they would be open that evening. I was told that they would be opening at 3:00 p.m.. however when we arrived at 5:00, both doors were locked and everything was dark inside. I called again and no one answered. Shameful way to do business.

I've been coming to Clancys for years. Never had any problems. Always welcome. Always given the up most respect. All of a sudden stuff changed. Even though my father is african American and my mother is Hispanic, I'm not welcome. Having a private conversation with my best friend had the bartender questioning my ability to conduct myself. I know my limit in drinking and I would never disrespect anyone's establishment. I was told I could not order another drink because the bartender was listening to my conversation. Now, I am a black woman but looking at me u may think I'm Caucasian. That was there may concern. I can't help but ask myself if I would have been treated the same way if I had dark skin and was clearly identified as an African american woman. Take me back to the old clancys where my conversation with my party has no effect on who I am as a grown woman. Never ever ever has Clancy himself or his staff made me feel this uncomfortable. Leave it to new owners to drag this business through the mud. I will not be back nor will I refer anyone to this establishment. Clancy.... buy it back! We miss the fair treatment and the equal treatment of all patrons. The new bartender look like a damn hyena.

One night after me and wife got done working and a super long day so we decided on are way home we would pick up the full rack of rib dinner with greens,Mac cheese, corn bread. When we got home we started eating and everything was good until the next morning because we both woke up with food poising from them and we both had to miss 2 days of work becuase we were profusely vomiting and had diarrhea , it was just literally h3ll for 2 days. Also Mac and cheese they had was left over and just microwaved and reheated and dried out so bad ketchup couldn’t even fix that and even the dog didn’t want the mac and cheese..I still wish this never happens becuase ribs were actually good but I could never go back here after all this..

Friday night wanted some good "soul food" thought I'd try a local spot. Sadly to say, very disappointed. Out of the can yams (yuck) dried & salty catfish, horrible timing, was told 20 minutes didn't get food for about 40 ish and our pie was missing. I tried and won't bother again or recommend. Smothered pork chop, no gravy, very chewy. Onion wasn't sliced it was cut and dumped on top. Not a very good experience. Whoever gives this place a 5 stars I question your taste buds.
