If you are looking for a nice date night, single couples or doubles this is a good spot.Ambience and service is great however, I visited for the food…..There is a good menu but limited, which is fine in smaller establishments. I ordered the Caesar salad with no anchovies but unfortunately it came with the anchovies.I’m not much of a complainer, so I didn’t say anything. I tried to support small businesses as much as possible when I travel, and I know how tough the restaurant business can be so rather than asking for replacement I just pushed through the salad.Whether it was the server’s error that she forgot to make note of it or the kitchen’s mistake… who knows?The steak was cooked to perfection and very tasty.I would not recommend this place for families with little kids.

A wonderful new restaurant for us that combines amazing food at a classy establishment. Very relaxed atmosphere with a wait staff that does everything to make it a memorable experience. It's hard but worth saving room for their chocolate tiramisu that will top everything dish that came before it

One of my favorite restaurants in Beloit. The menu changes frequently enough to keep things interesting and they have a great wine list. They have a very nice service flow that is efficient, but not rushed.

Hands down the best restaurant in Beloit! The food is fantastic, and always consistent. Every single person there is warm and friendly, providing a very charming atmosphere. We've dined here for birthdays, anniversaries, and just for fun.I would recommend this place 100 times over, and that might not even be enough! Please, just go experience the magic that is Velvet Buffalo!

Food was very salty, menu was quite limited. Wasn't mind blowing good food as it should've been for the price. Bread was burnt. It's a neat location it's upscale and the food was satisfactory just not going to be a italian food destination for us.
Our meals were well prepared, nicely seasoned, and delivered hot from the kitchen. The items we selected from the menu were traditional fare, but with a unique twist to each of them. The dessert choices were superb.

We had dinner reservations last night, part of their Valentine’s Week celebration.Unfortunately, the food & drinks were definitely not up to the quality you would expect for a place that prides themselves on made in house pasta. Also, for the prices.First off the focaccia bread was burnt and dry, it wasn’t just ours. It was all the dinners that night had burnt bread.My pasta was chewy, stiff and cold. The sausage in the sauce was mushy and cold. It was like the pasta was cooked way ahead of time, sat out, and then they tried reheating it. It made it very difficult to eat both due to the texture & temperature. My husband had the scallops they were not seared and were tough. The kale was overcooked and the squash was undercooked. The sauce on the scallop dish was too sweet and had the wrong balance of acidity. Which made it taste off & stomach turning.The vesper was too watery… seemed like that added too much ice when making it.Fortunately, the staff were very nice and our waitress, Rosie, was wonderful.We definitely will not be coming dining for food again there.

Velvet Buffalo is a beautiful setting for a romantic dinner or a gathering of friends. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Fresh focaccia bread and oil to kick off the meal was a lovely touch. The bruschetta tastes like thick crust pizza. The pasta servings were small for $26/plate. The flavor was a bit salty. I couldn't taste the basil due to the salt. The drinks were small and pricy. The carrot cake was a carrot muffin with cream cheese frosting and candied walnuts. The rooftop bar is lovely, but again pricy for the size of the drinks.

The food and service was excellent. The resteraunt was small but we'll designed and there was still ample space around tables. Very nice romantic vibes. Definitely recommend staying at the attached hotel aswell.
