I ordered the meatloaf that came with mashed potatoes and roasted Brussels sprouts. The meatloaf and sprouts were overly oily. No need to use that much oil when roasting Brussels sprouts.

This was our first time dining at North Star Bistro. The service was excellent. The drinks were awful. They were super sweet and mediocre at best. The appetizers and soup were excellent. The main dishes were mediocre. I ordered a well done steak- knowing that restaurants always undercook. (I wanted medium.) They brought me a rare steak. I sent it back and it was corrected perfectly. We thought the atmosphere and service didn't match the menu offerings. All in all, we would not dine again. It wasn't awful but not worth the money. I think the menu needs an update and the bar tenders need some education.

We decided to check this place out as it was recommended by a friend. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very attentive! We both got the Poke Bowls. Mine with chicken and his with salmon. I think I had maybe 1/3 of a chicken breast in my salad. It also was supposed to have avacado in it which I swear I had maybe just a few small pieces of in my salad. So basically we paid $18.50 for a bowl of cabbage with a bit of chicken. It was a disappointing dinner out and we most likely won't go back.

We had to ask if we had a server because after we were seated nobody came to our table to bring water or take drink order etc. After I inquired we were immediately taken care of and our server was fantastic. I believe his name is Justin. Overall North Star Bistro is fantastic!! We will keep coming back.

Consistently fine food. Between the four of us we had the crab cake salad, the whitefish and bourbon salmon. Delicious. Service was very attentive. A great place for a meal with friends. Which is just what we did.

Always delicious, great menu, love the salad options with great protein add-ons. Service is excellent. I prefer a booth due to hearing difficulties. We enjoy the outdoor dining in the summer and ride our bikes there.

Once again, North Star Bistro is a favorite "go to" restaurant in Brookfield. We always enjoy the food -- this time, beef tenderloin, bourbon salmon, and short ribs. The Tuscan bean soup was amazing. The service staff is always attentive and friendly. Price point is very fair for a quality experience. We especially appreciate the calm and relaxing atmosphere, at a time when many restaurants have over the top stimulation and noise levels. Thank you, North Star Bistro!

We love the North Star American Bistro. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Service was a little slow the night we were there but we always chalk that up to not enough staff to help out these days. Overall - we still think it's one of the best dining experiences in Brookfield.

Not a winner for us. Quiet. Our waitress was slow, my drink wasn't mixed well. Bacon wrapped meatloaf could have been better. Scallop saffron risotto was okay. The risotto was a bit undercooked. The scallops tasted better with the arugula and goat cheese on top. Crème brûlée was good. It was expensive for what we got

We went out for a Friday Fish Fry, but ended up with a Perch Fry and a Shrimp Fry which were both delicious. Our food came very quickly, actually ahead a the delicious bread received. We both enjoyed our dinner.

Friday night fish fry is always great at North Star. We had two granddaughters with us and they liked the children's menu. We had two perch dinners, my favorite, and one shrimp dinner, my wife's favorite. Our server, Alyssa, did an excellent job and she kept our little girls happy.
