I meet with friends once a month to catch up with each other. This particular month we met at cudahy's pancake house. The food was awesome the service was fast and the prices are great. However, there's a person playing on a keyboard and singing. It was so loud that we couldn't have a conversation which is the whole purpose of our lunch. Apparently they have music every Saturday and Sunday.

This is a family run restaurant and it feels like it from the moment you enter and until you leave. You are welcomed immediately and checked on during your stay. The food is delicious and you get more than I've ever been able to finish. You can almost plan on leaving with a carryout container. They also have gluten free pancakes that I'm told are great!

Delicious food. Fast service. Professional staff. The pancakes and eggs were delicious. The atmosphere is nice. Small, deli style. I'm a connoisseur of corned beef hash. I don't eat beef but I'll eat corned beef hash when I see it's homemade like they advertised. I didn't even ask like I usually do "is your corned beef hash made from the can?" because it said homemade. Apparently this means it's made from the can but they add potatoes and spices. Anyway I don't like corned beef hash from the can so it wasn't like some of the greats I've tasted like Milwaukee's Katie's, or Shaker Heights OH Big Al's... And there was a place near Boston, but cannot remember their name. But I'll be back here again.... Just not for the hash

Rating is based on comparison to similar restaurants. We arrived around 11:30 am on a Saturday. Quickly found a cozy booth seat and about as fast our orders for tea were taken. Before we could read the comprehensive breakfast menu, the tea was on the table. We ordered the eggs and pancake combo and the corn beef skillet. Now lets be clear. This is diner food. The corn beef was "homemade" from the can with extra hand cut potatoes. I would have like the hash browns to be hot, not warm. But the eggs were perfect. I so appreciate a medium done egg with the whites cooked completely and the yellow yolk firm yet still liquid. Life's small pleasures. Back to the service. The staff check on us looking to refill, clear plates, bring containers as needed, without being intrusive, so we were able to have a nice conversation over brunch. An old fashioned family diner in the best tradition.

We got food to go from here. I had the apple French toast it was super good. Very sweet. Although it was takeout it was packaged nice and the food was still warm! The French toast wasn't soggy and the syrup was on the side.

I ordered peanut butter pancakes and my partner ordered A Little Bit of France and we both loved our dishes. Generous portions, good coffee and comfortable atmosphere. Will go again.
