“They definitely make a profit but this tradition so I'll spend $40 on bakery every time :D Cashier doesn't do small talk. Just takes money and on to the next person”
“The drive was beautiful. We enjoyed watching local farmers harvest their crops. We stood in line for about 40 min and there is a bathroom. We bought bread for our neighbors and they loved it. The donuts are awesome. We also got a jumbo pretzel and a pie.”

“My husband an I tried them a while ago, and they have been a staple for lunch since. Their dill pickle soup is his favorite. and I cannot get enough of the California Club. My son gets the grilled cheese and we all like the friendly, come as you are atmosphere. My mom fell ill last month and passed earlier this week. And their comfort food is the only thing I've wanted. Thanks for being there, Oyster crackers!!”
“Excellent food prepared fresh farm to table in a quaint remodeled old building. Counter or table seating, this is scratch cooking, not fast food- so enjoy the company you are dining with and experience a culinary delight. Women owned and operated, please support small business!”
“Carol's Cones always has an awesome selection of food and ice cream. The entire staff is friendly and professional. Highly recommended that you stop by and enjoy a delicious treat.”

“Just ordered 2 pizzas and breaded ravioli $80.75 of terrible disappointing food. My pizza looked like someone dumped a can cambells tomato soup with canned mushrooms and not cooked sausage. I called back to talk to the owner/manager. He offered a new pizza and I said no that’s not the point then offered money back, again not the point. I never did yell or raise my voice once and he yelled at me and then hung up on me. We as good people supported small businesses through Covid and now we get treated like that. We put food on your table and kept your business going. My husband was mad that he hung up and called back the owner would not get on the phone and had his innocent teenage girl worker try to smooth things over. Not her problem or fault, shows you what type of person he is a coward. Was just trying to give them a heads up on how terrible overpriced the food was. So sad because a year ago the food was really good.”
“Several months ago, my husband found The Crooked Branch Coffeehouse while searching for something nearby to serve as an ideal 'morning date' location for us. And I'm so glad he did! I've happily returned several times over to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere while doing homework, sample a few of their lovely bakery items, or play board games with my kids while caffeinating for the day. My husband and I lived in Italy for a few years, enjoying irresponsible amounts of Italian coffee and pastries so we're a bit snobby about our morning brown. Crooked Branch makes the most delicious, velvety, 'true Italian' cappuccinos. Every. Time. Their scones and breakfast bakes are delicious and made right across the street where their coffee beans are also roasted. They're also dog-friendly, have a small library, board games, and feature so many items from local artists to browse while you wait for your drinks. It makes my heart so happy to see them busy when I visit. I can't wait for more morning dates to the coffee house.”

“First time trying the perch and walleye plates. It was delicious and the atmosphere is like your hometown bar. Drinks were awesome. My husband had an old fashioned and I had an amaretto sour. They are definitely not shy on the liquor. Definitely must try. We had nachos last time. It definitely is a serving for two. We will definitely be going back.”

“Best pizza in town...hands down. Best food in town as well. Sad part is they are not open year round but makes you appreciate when they are. In Montello they are the place!”
“Great 'townie' bar! Nice looking inside and a great deck out back (small but nice). Drink prices are a little high but you get a good pour. Definitely my favorite hangout when I'm in town.”
“Went down for the fish. We had shrimp and cod. It was very good. You can order just the fish or shrimp or you can get a basket with fries or onion rings. Prices are decent. Great friendly service. Definitely would go back!!”
“Friendly small town pub. Great Loaded Bloody Mary's on Sunday! Friendly service cold beer, specialty alcohol for unique drinks made to order. Live music on occasions as well.”

“Went here for breakfast the other weekend, was not disappointed. Had my favorite breakfast, biscuits and gravy with a side of bacon. Bacon was perfectly cooked and I should have ordered bigger than the small biscuits and gravy. Will eat there again. Fairly new to the town and slowly trying nearby ”

“My Wife and I stopped by on a Sunday for some BBQ. A new guy was learning the ropes and was a great waiter and kitchen man. The owner was making great Old Fashioneds, and she talked me into the French Onion soup. The soup was thick and full of onions and seasoning. It was the best ever! My wife had the smoked prime rib sliders. Again, the best we've ever had. I had a great rack of ribs and great conversion with the owners and the other customers. We've been there a few times and it's always wonderful. Go there soon!”
“Very low key bar. All the bartenders I've had the pleasure of them pouring my beer are very nice. Beer prices are probably the best in Montello. They have a couple of really fun bar games. Pool table is only 50 cents. I always come here when I'm in the area.”

“I ordered a two layer 1/4 sheet birthday cake for my husband’s birthday. I requested a chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting and a fudge layer. It was the best cake ever! I loved how tall each layer was, the amount of fudge layer was just right, the frosting wasn’t too thick or thin, and the decorating was spot on. Everyone raved about it. If you don’t want to make your own cake, spend the extra amount and do not ever get a cake from a chain store ever again and instead get one from Kathleen’s Flour Bin! Thank you!”
“Was there for an Honor Guard memorial service. We didn't use the facility inside, but there was a nice meeting room area and a small bar area. Food would need to be catered in.”

“The food was pretty good nothing to complain about at all. As for the atmosphere it's your old home town backwoods southern feel for sure; in my mind it's awesome. Service was by far superb. Get samples of their jams to try (highly suggest the pumpkin) on your toast yummy. Everyone was so nice and talkative. Thank you for a great experience.”
