Very short staffed, was there at the end of the lunch rush, waited patiently, when it was my turn to order I was informed they had several online orders that they needed to make. Never was able to make an order, worst subway experience I have had. The store wasn't that busy, staff seemed overwhelmed.

I go to deforest subway often and I've never had a problem but today Lisa was the rudest lady I have ever met! Told me my options were white or wheat and then continued to be so rude and not even ask me what I wanted on my sub or let me speak... I am in complete shock and I will not be returning to that subway!

I was waiting outside for the store to open, which I had no problem doing. At 8:00AM the lady working, Dawn, unlocked the doors. So I proceeded to get out of my vehicle and walk inside. The second I get inside, Dawn says to me in a very disrespectful manner that they are not open yet. So I asked if she wanted to re-lock the doors and unlock them again when she is open. (But realistically it was 8:00AM, the time they are scheduled to open, and she is the one that unlocked the doors.) At this point in an even more angry tone she asks me if she wants me to have her drop everything, stop opening the store so she can help me. I simply said, “No. But I sure don’t appreciate her attitude. To which she replies with, “we’ll go somewhere else then!” Again, in a not so very nice way. So I go outside to my car where my brother was sitting in the passenger seat and he asked me what’s going on. I told him what had just happened, so he decided to go inside and try to talk with her since he is a GM at a chain restaurant and he can possibly get a better understanding of where the issue is. So he goes inside and immediately asks for her name so he can talk to her by name respectfully. And after stating she was the district manager and her name is Dawn, she starts yelling at my brother saying that I came in before they were open to which my brother replies with, I work in the industry and I couldn’t imagine having a job after talking to customers like that. To which she demands he get out of the store as well. My jaw dropped. I couldn’t believe what happened. I understand people having bad days. But this was way over the top and for no reason. I don’t care what your title is in the company. But you would think the higher up in the company someone is, the higher the standard they would hold for themselves. Again, she was probably having a bad day, but this is still unacceptable.

Grouch lady challenged my service dog walking in the door even though she is clearly badged and tagged-not a welcoming place.Then she put her “employee” down for being “too new to know” —geez wonder why you have “help wanted” sign in your window!!!

Chicken tips

They only take cash. Sent my son in to order his sub and they charge $15 for a footlong turkey with bacon and mozzarella. Called to speak with someone after realizing and the girl hung up on me, twice. Called to ask to speak to manager and couldn’t understand the person answering the phone. Would NEVER eat here.

Got grilled chicken for first time there toaster oven was down and didn't say anything before i ordered so I probably wont go there again worker's sucked to so wouldn't recommend deforest subway
