We at the Lake House Inn tonight, on a whim, and were pleasantly delighted. The Old Fashioned’s were SO delicious! Our server greeted us with a smile, some warm bread, and ridiculously good honey butter. Each meal came with a good sized starter (salad, soup, and Mac’n cheese for our kiddo). The Prime rib was perfect! The shrimp pasta was creamy and delicious! And the chicken strips with honey mustard sauce (recommend by their bartender) hit the spot. What a hidden gem! We’ll be back soon!

Mushroom soup was cold. Pasta with shrimp and cream sauce was missing sauce. Pretty bland. Burgers were good - better than average. Service was excellent regardless of the food and people were very friendly. Would love to see them improve their food and succeed.

We had the Friday fish fry and it was the best baked cod I have ever had. The others in the group had the deep fried cod, chicken fingers (huge) and hush puppies that also were delicious. There is so much to look at that it takes you back in history. There is a tasting area with bourbons, tequilas and wines to choose from while you browse around and shop. The owners and staff were friendly, fast and very attentive. We HIGHLY recommend and will definitely be going back.

We were excited that the Lake House reopened and had been wanting to make the trip there for awhile but our experience was disappointing. Their menu is quite limited and yet they still seem to be having problems planning. We had reservations at 7:15pm on a Friday night and they were already out of 2 of the 3 potato choices, the tarter sauce and the soup of the day. The bar still has a lot of character and the gift shop is super cute but the dining room now has LED lighting and a TV and lacks the cozy feeling of the prior place. For what the drinks and food cost, the whole experience lacked a personal touch expected at a supper club. Sometimes it is the little things like having water offered, crackers with the soup, lemon with the fish or at least not running out of what is already a limited selection. I hope that with some adjustments they can improve their patrons experience.

We just had a private event last night. There were 34 of us that had an amazing time. We had a special menu with cocktail demonstrations and fun. Such a great atmosphere! Plenty of space for all at the bar or at the table. The food was amazing. Everyone in our group felt special! The shop is such a bonus to sample and purchase what you know you like. We will be back! Thank you for the great night!

Keep up the good work. Susan and Steve will try to see you at four every Friday. Your staff is dedicated and is clearly like a family. The bar is staffed by people who are experienced and the drinks are well made. We love the servers. Susan and I like the fish fry and enjoy talking to you when we arrive. We think the local people like to eat at around seven on Fridays so opening early probably won't bring in more than the expense of keeping open. We always eat early. The limited menu is a good idea. Over time I will try everything. The kitchen is excellent with an experienced staff. You are lucky to have them. I think the locals will continue to come in groves.

The new owner has done a good job of keeping the ambiance, The bar is well stoked and the bartenders are knowledgeable, The menu is limited. We have had the Friday fish and the battered cod is quite good. The röti potatoes can vary from very authentic to meh.
I had my wedding reception there. The owner helped out in every way possible. Made my special night absolutely perfect. The Lakehouse is like my second home. Love the staff!!!! The atmosphere is beautiful, wonderful lighting in the place. The food is AMAZING!!!!Bathroom is always clean with body sprays if you think you may stink lol! The farmhouse tasting room is stunning and they offer free shots for you to try their massive liquor collection. You can try before you buy . It’s an experience for the entire family. Dog friendly in the summer outdoors. Everything you could ask for or want is at the Lakehouse!!Kid-friendliness: They have board games and the farmhouse is a gift shop that’s entertaining to the kiddos

Had the Valentines special Beef Wellington. It was delicious. Everything was so good. Soup, salad and dessert. Great food and service. A very nice atmosphere. And so excited that the Goat and Berry appetizer is going to be back. It's sooo good.
