At first I was a little skeptical because I'm the kind of person who hears "all you can eat" and gets worried but this place is amazing and very fresh! I absolutely recommend and so does my boyfriend who took me to Yamato! These pictures prove it!

We have been going to this sushi place for years. The all you can eat sushi takes a long time when we are there. We often order a few rolls at a time just so that we don't have to wait for the servers to come around and ask if we want more and then wait even longer for them to come out. We only have 2 rounds of sushi before we decided to call it quits and leave because it was taking so long. The sushi overall is great, but the wait for the all you can eat, not so much. They have also raised their prices recently on the menu. But this is to be expected with all the other restaurants following suit in light of the pandemic. We usually order plain California rolls when we don't do the all you can eat. We also love the shrimp tempura and the sweet potato roll are some of our favorite classics. The atmosphere is nice and the staff are very nice, despite the slow kitchen service during all you can eat. This is a staple for us, especially because it is near our house so we definately will be going back! Pictured is the California roll with cream cheese added.

Had my first sushi ? experience here with friends a month ago and it was so delicious! Service was fast and they are clean, hardworking and polite. I’ve been going back once a week. I’m hooked. Preparation of my sushi is so good and too cute to eat. Definitely recommend this place.

We went here to eat and we stated it was our first time. I ASKED POLITELY which sushi rolls were cooked. And the waiter didn’t understand us. So another waiter came to us very defensive. I proceeded to ask what sushi rolls were cooked. He said it’s in the menu you can look for yourself. Horrible and rude NEVER COMING AGAIN.

$24.95 for all you can eat. I thought all of the sushi rolls we ordered tasted the same. Service was fast and good. Just wasn’t impressed with the sushi.

My husband and I wanted to try something out of our normal weekly dinner dine-ins and after searching for a restaurant, we came across Yamato Sushi House on Bluemound. It is tucked away in the back corner of a small plaza. The layout was quite nice and very roomy. We were the only customers in the restaurant and later came another individual towards the end of our meal, so it was extremely quiet. There wasn't any music or anything so that made it even more quiet. When we entered, we weren't greeted. The male who (I assume) worked the front desk came and just stared at us. I asked for a table for two. We were seated at the very first booth - he handed us the menu and didn't go over anything with us at all. (It was our first time there so we weren't sure if there were any specials, etc.) Along with the menu, there were sheets of paper and after taking a look at the paper, it appears they offer "All You Can Eat Sushi". After a good five minutes the gentleman came back and mumbled some words - which I assumed he had asked what we wanted to drink. With a blank look on our faces, we just asked for water. After receiving our waters, we asked if we could order. Without any words, he brought out his notepad and took our order (Sushi for two and a Volcano Roll). The food didn't take long to get to us since we were the only customers there. However, while eating; we heard a tiny clipping noise and noticed that the gentleman was sitting behind the front desk/bar clipping his nails. It was quite unpleasant, unsanitary and unprofessional. Our food was GREAT! The sushi rice was cooked perfectly - we've been to places that had either too hard or old rice and it just ruins the whole point of sushi. So good job on the food! The only thing that really confused us was that our sushi for two entree did not come with soup and salad like most restaurants. The gentleman never came back to ask how we were doing so we couldn't ask him if we were missing those. Unfortunately, we have decided it is not worth our return since the service was very unwelcoming and mind you, the NAIL CLIPPING was the biggest issue of our first-time dining there. The place seemed to be semi-maintained. There were stains on the wall and tables were a bit sticky - and don't forget the little fruit flies that kept bothering us as well. We quickly ate, paid and left. If the staff/s had better manners and professionalism, I think this place would go far. It all makes sense as to why we were the only customers during the normal dinner rush. One star for good food.

I love this place! I couldn't find the rest of my pictures but I have so many cause the food always looks great! I love the Bluemound roll and the chicken teriyaki but everything is good! I always get the all you can eat for lunch or dinner! The dessert is also awesome (the fried banana)

I never seen a sushi with a fishbone in it... that my bf had to spit it out in the middle of our dinner. I ordered Sushi for two and it was missing California roll. The volcano roll was very different from other sushi restaurants as it usually comes with the sauce on the top. I guess it's made this way because it's all you can eat restaurant? The ginger smelled like a wet old dishcloths. Also, other sushi place includes soup or salad on sushi entrees but this restaurant has not given me any on my $57 order, an entree and a special roll... I'm not going back. I'd say the portion is good.

I ordered carry out from here because I was craving sushi. I tried the Haru Maki spring rolls, stuffed with crab and vegetables. They were fine, but it could honestly have been anything inside the roll. They were non-de script. I also ordered a sweet potato roll and it suffered from the transit time. They were not crispy or distinct. The futomaki was good, well balanced with freshness and crunch. The Dynamite Roll was the star of the show - crab meat, avocado, crunch, spicy mayonnaise topped with lobster. It was fresh, rich and savory with plenty of crunch. I'd eat this any day, happily. Overall, this was a mixed bag, but most items were fine. They just didn't knock my socks off.

Wow during the pandemic I've been cautious to go out to eat but this place is so clean and spaced apart I feel safe to enjoy my food. The all you can eat is so worth it. I got such amazing sushi rolls and the simplicity of the deserts made us asking for more and more. The server was so kind and patient with us. Food came out so fast and perfect service at this place. Highly recommend!!
