The drive from Sturgeon Bay is a bit long. The road in egg harbor is under construction, so the detour takes you out of the way. Julies hotel is wonderful, quiet, and prices were the best in the area. My one issue is that the floors are heated and the temperature doesnt drop under 70 degrees. So middle of winter, I had to use the A/C. I dont like to do that at all.
Walkability: Perfect location to walk anywhere downtown fish creek. It's also at the park entrance to Peninsula State Park so it's an ideal place to bring your bike or rent one (you can rent bikes at 2 different locations right next to the motel).Food & drinks: Julie's Cafe is a must stop for us any time we are in door county. Julie's was perfect! I stayed with my dog. When we arrived, they had a dog basket waiting for us. The entire room was clean, and being a dog room did not smell of dog at all. I really liked how Peninsula State Park was right next door! I would definitely stay again!
