“Working with David at Blue Plate for our rehearsal dinner and wedding was incredible start to finish. While they offered plenty of options for those that aren't sure where to start, they also let us design an almost completely custom menu, encouraged and took all the feedback at multiple tastings, and made sure both events ran smoothly. Not only was the food delicious (we continue to get compliments from our guests), but their customer service was STELLAR. Would recommend to anyone still in search of a caterer.“

“We used City BBQ to cater our summer camp wedding near Lake Geneva in Aug 2023, and they were absolutely fantastic. The quality of the food and service--our guests loved it. They also made sure to make a plate for both me as the bride and my now-husband--were it not for that I am sure we would have forgotten to eat! To top it off, City BBQ catering was great to work with. Andria worked with us and was such a pleasure--the amount of guests and order changed as we got closer, and she was great at making adjustments and working with us. We also did our tasting in the Chicago area which was so much fun. Shout out to Veneisha who catered that. Highly recommend City BBQ for catering a wedding--the food was incredible. So rare to find great food at a wedding for reasonable amounts! I'd give them 10 stars if I could.“
“Upstairs Downstairs catered our wedding and it was fantastic! From the initial inquiry, to food selection, to service; it was a great experience. They have a huge menu with many options to accommodate dietary restrictions. We received numerous compliments from our guests about the food (London broil was a favorite). The buffet was hot and fresh for all our guests. The pie was delicious as well! Staff was friendly, professional, and attentive. Highly recommend!“
“2.5 stars. We used JL Richards for our wedding. The food was great and the price was good. We recieved a lot of compliments on the food and they were able to meet the needs of both vegetarian and vegan guests. However, the communication with JL Richards was atrocious. We initially sent an email to do a tasting and someone replied quickly and gave us a call to set something up. We paid our deposit shortly after the tasting and did other wedding things. A few months later I had a few questions about adding on appetizers, which I sent by email. I sent a reminder email to that one, another reminder email a week or two later, and a fourth reminder email. I also tried submitting on their form on their website and sending from an alternate email address in case my email address was getting flagged or something. I also tried sending a Facebook message. Nothing. Finally, after weeks of not hearing from them, I called. I talked with Ashley who said they were having trouble with their email. I asked if they had another email address so that I could correspond with them and she said no, the was the only one. When I asked her how I was supposed to communicate with them when they apparently weren't getting my emails, she didn't have a response. When I asked Ashley about the appetizers she provided a response but then also could not locate my reservation sheet and had me text it to her (a little concerning). She then said that since I had her phone number, I could use that to correspond. Another few months later I had another question and I texted Ashley. No response. I emailed them again. No response. I sent SEVERAL reminders emails, from multiple emails addresses, and even added on read receipts. They were reading my emails - but not responding. It was a month before the wedding and I wanted to confirm details. I called them again and talked to Kim and she confirmed and said she'd send the final bill and to look it over and call with any questions. I reviewed it and it was missing the appetizers so I called and she said she'd add it on and re-send. She did. A day later we then had 2 people who couldn't come to the wedding (this was still a week before) and asked if we could change numbers. She replied at night and said yes, no problem at all, that she would send the updated bill when she got to work the next day. At this point I was thinking "well, maybe they start giving you more attention as the date gets closer?" because she had responded to a few of my emails. But I was wrong. Because I sent Kim THREE emails to remind her to update the bill and send it to me before we came in to pay our final bill and she never did. We had to go in to pay and tell them that the bill needed to be updated before we paid and they did that no problem. Overall, the people that work at JL are nice, the wait staff at the venue was good, and the food and prices were good - but the extremely poor communication caused a lot of extra stress in an already very stressful time.“

“I don't even know where it start. This was one of the best BBQ experiences I have had this year. Everything was delicious. The service from father and son was a great experience and exciting. I got brisket to go, fatter and lean daughter didn't care for the lean. they fix the order to make her happy without a question. I will visit BB BBQ again and again. If you are ever in the area or just want to travel. This is a must stop. Everything had deep smoke flavor, tender and moist. Seasoning was on point. The one thing that was basic was the cornbread. But I was not there for the cornbread. Not called Cornbread butter BBQ LOL. Everyone go and enjoy this place and tell them I said HI!!!!!“

“Best kept secret in Monona and surrounding areas! Papas BBQ is fire and without a doubt the BEST in this area! Better than even the 4.9 star bbq place in Sun Prairie! I had the brisket dinner and the meat was amazing. Perfect smokey taste with no lingering strange after taste. Brisket was buttery without being fatty or overly greasy. Meat portions are hearty but sides could be a little larger. His bbq sauce was tangy and juicy. Perfection! It doesn’t look like much from the street but please do your tastebuds a favor and just try him out!Kid-friendliness: Located inside a park. Would be perfect for a play date and lunch!Parking: Plenty of parking.“
“Goodness, I love this place. The food is amazing and the vibes are stellar. I've gotten a couple of the weekly meal kits and been thrilled with them, too. I especially recommend the smashed potatoes.Parking: Street parking plus a small lot next to the ice cream place next door.“

“I recently used Twisted Radish Catering for my wedding reception at the Frank Lloyd Wright Taliesin Visitor Center in Spring Green WI and they were absolutely fantastic! COMMUNICATION: I live out of state and thought it might be difficult to work remotely with a caterer, but Nicki made the whole experience easy and fun. I really felt like she took the time to make sure I was happy with everything and was always available to chat on the phone or quick to respond to my emails. GRAZING BOARDS + APPETIZERS: I was drawn to Twisted Radish by the photos on their website of their elaborate grazing boards (because appetizers are always one of my favorite parts of a wedding..), and it was so fun creating a delicious spread with Nicki's help. The end result was even better than I expected, she went out of her way to make sure everything was displayed beautifully and it all tasted amazing. DINNER: We did a plated dinner with three different main course options - Wedding Day Salmon, Herbed Tri Tip and Apple Cider Chicken. Each plate came with heirloom carrots with rosemary and orange, garlic broccoli with chili flakes, roasted fingerling potatoes, poached pear salad and sourdough dinner rolls. She even surprised us with butter boards for the rolls! Every dish tasted amazing, even better than I imagined. COFFEE AND DESSERT: Nicki set up a incredible coffee station complete with almond and oat milks in vintage carafes. I have a lot of coffee snobs in the family, and they all approved of the coffee. She also make us two homemade ice cream flavors (vanilla bean and blackberry) that were fantastic. STAFF: Everyone from Twisted Radish was so kind and extremely professional. You can tell they love what they do. I would 100% recommend Twisted Radish for any future events needing delicious and beautiful food. I feel extremely lucky they were available because I feel like we got the very best of the best!“

“My husband and I value delicious food, and we knew we wanted this to be highlighted at our wedding. Heritage catering did not disappoint!! We had so many of our guests share with us that this was by far the best food they had ever had at a wedding, and we absolutely agree! We had selected the braised pork shoulder, confit fjord trout, and mushroom and spinach gnocchi. All of the selections were heavenly!! The pork melted in your mouth, the trout was cooked to perfection and the gnocchi was dynamic and delicious! Heritage is on the higher end of cost in the Madison area catering, but I cannot emphasize enough that it was worth absolutely every penny. We were elated - and so were our guests.Leading up to our wedding, Betsy did a great job coordinating with us and communicating directly with Chef Dan Fox to ensure that we knew exactly what to expect given what was in season and sourced locally. The team was also very well staffed the day of our wedding and served a plated dinner to ~150 guests in a professional, efficient and effective manner. The display boards during happy hour were exquisite! We were so pleased with our experience with Heritage and would recommend them to any couple that values divine food.“
