The burger tasted like water (0 flavor). The Nachos where just a Velveta cheese mess that i regretted the second they hit my stomach.Nice bar but do not go there for the food.

Why would a chill sports bar hide next to bank behind a strip mall?Don't think about that.Bar tenders are great, plenty of TVs and good music.

Had some great food and the service was really friendly. They might have been understaffed so it took a longer time than usual, but it’s a nice place to hang out.

We loved the funky feel. The portions are huge and the food is super tasty. The staff were incredibly fast and considerate. They were great with the kids.Vegetarian options: They have walnut patties to substitute beef patties.Kid-friendliness: Staff was great with our kids. They have high chairs and booster chairs. They have crayons and coloring papers. Kids menu is nice.Parking: The restaurant is at the far end of the building, which houses 2 more businesses. The parking is pretty ample. The patio is large and sits in the front so it adds a few extra steps from car to front door.

Mom and I had a great late lunch here. The food and service were awesome. No BS... Straight forward menu with fresh, hot delicious food (we both had sandwiches with fries and tots). The happy hour crowd started to roll in as we were finishing and they made us want to stay and make some friends. You can tell this is a neighborhood favorite and everyone is open and friendly. Looking forward to going back for drinks and maybe some stimulating conversation.

Worst service ever. Was told to sit wherever and watched for 20 minutes as the server brought menus and drinks to customers that arrived after we were seated. We were completely ignored. Unfortunate since bar service has always been great.

I was asked to run karaoke after a private party there. The owners of the pub were a delight, and it is one of the better feeling places I've been to in

Some of the nicest and friendliest people I’ve ever met work here! Seemingly typical bar food but clearly made by people who care about the taste and quality of the food they serve! We stopped in for the fish fry last Friday and the baked cod was so delicious and I was pleasantly surprised by such a sizable portion for the price!

If you need a spot for a quick bite, a drink or two, or to catch the game Funk's Pub might work. Located in a rather non-descript mall in suburban Madison, Wisconsin, I would never have visited Funk's Pub if I didn't have friends in the area. It is sort of awkwardly out of place as it seems like a local tavern inside but if you go out on the patio you find yourself in a commercial area and facing a large bank. That said, they offer a full menu, bar, sports on the flat-screen televisions, and even live music on the weekends. We had a pretty good size party -- a head count of about 15 -- so they put us out on the patio which worked out since the midwestern weather was being highly cooperative all week. The only bummer was the fact that we couldn't keep up with Sunday mid-day games playing inside. The menu is about what anyone would expect in a joint like this: Appetizers, Salads, Burgers, and their ilk. After doing some research on the cellie I decided to roll deep with their Chili and many Yelpers pointed out they put on a strong bowl of red. The drink order went quickly and we had possibly the best Bloody Mary I have had in Wisconsin before us within moments (complete with an amazing Meat Stick and Vegetables). It was after we ordered the entrees that things went sideways. The kitchen must have been log jammed as it took over 45 minutes for the plates to arrive and the wee ones we had in tow were none too happy about the wait. The server apologized immensely and to be fair it wasn't her fault but 45 minutes plus is just far too long. As for the bowl of Chili? It was mediocre at best. The consistency was far too loose for my taste and Beans should never be in a real bowl of red. The Sysco grade Cheese did little to turn up the flavor although the Grilled Cheese that flanks the bowl was a nice unlikely addition. At least the price was right at under $9.00. In fact, I think the Blood Mary was more than the Chili now that I think about it. Would I return again if ever back in the area? Sure, to take in a game have a drink or two, and possibly a Burg but there would be no need to go out of my way to do so with so many options in Wisconsin's capital city. A solid 3-star affair.

Came here for the Friday Fish Fry on 2 occasions now and have enjoyed myself both times. The food has been great, and the wait staff have attentive and friendly. The space is quite large and well decorated, and they even have 2 separate outdoor eating areas. I will be back.Parking: There is a huge parking area

What s great find! I stopped in for a cocktail or two on a Saturday night and stayed for the fun atmosphere & decor, fast & friendly service, delicious food and fantastic live entertainment (Rob Coonrod of Jazz Cabbage). This place became a quick favorite, and I'll gladly return again and again!

On a recent trip to Wisconsin I visited Funk's twice. Amazing staff, food, drinks, and pub ambiance. I went for taco Tuesday and again for the Friday fish fry. Both meals were awesome and accompanied by Spotted Cow draft beer. Perfect! The friendly and attentive staff was the icing on the cake!

Absolutely love this place. It’s a bit off the beaten path, but 100% worth it. We found this place by accident and the bartender Kim absolutely made us want to come back. This has become our Taco Tuesday tradition (for the last 4 weeks haha). The tacos are amazing and the rest of the food we’ve had is definitely solid. Kim is hands down the best bartender we’ve had in southern WI.**Tacos not pictured. We ate them too fast****
