Went for a romantic bday dinner. I ordered the cosmopolitan to start because the table next to me had one and it looked amazing. I got mine and it looked nothing like that. It was in a smaller glass, different color and lemon instead of lime. When the waiter asked how it was, I mentioned it didn't look anything like the one I saw. He did confirm it was also a cosmo, but they have different size glasses. Weird since there was only one price on the menu. He offered to bring me another one in the bigger glass. I was like ugh yeah! It came and still didn't look anything like the other one. Tasted more like a vodka cranberry. I just left it at that and ordered their prime rib Saturday special. When it came, I couldn't believe what was delivered to our table. Looked nothing like prime rib. Mor like sirloin steak or a very thin New York strip. We ordered it med rare. This was med at best. No flavor, dry. Just terrible. The manager came over and agreed it was not appetizing looking and did take both our meals off the bill along with that first cosmo. I have had prime rib many places and make it at home as well. Never had an experience like that. This is supposed to be a finer dining restaurant at a resort in lake Geneva. I just couldn't believe that was even allowed to leave the kitchen. Ruined our experience and will never go back to The Abbey Resort.

Lovely quiet dinner. Piano player added to the ambiance. Tenniele was our server, very attentive. Husband had the prime rib special which was incredible and I had the salmon, also excellent

It started with our server dropping the basket of bread all over our table (no big deal it happens). Then she used her hands to pick up the pieces of bread, put them back in the basket, and proceed to leave it on our table like we were still going to eat them. I had to ask for a new basket of bread. Then I ordered the short rib pappardelle. The flavor was ok. But the short ribs were so fatty I couldn't eat it and had to send it back. I've heard so many good things about the restaurant and was very excited. It was a huge let down.

Not only delicious food and so many choices, but also beautiful live music, a gorgeous view and amazing staff. Our waitress was wonderful. But I cannot say enough about the man making omlettes and pancakes. So sweet and talented.

I was very surprised by the number of gluten-free items available. I had the ribeye with asparagus and Parmesan risotto. I also had a bowl of the tomato bisque soup. It's so hard to find gluten-free soup so I was very happy! Everything was very delicious. Tennille was my server, and she was very personable!

We've been to many, many brunches over the last 20 years, and this was one of the best! They actually have crab legs AND prime rib. Those 2 items have disappeared from most brunch buffets, especially at this price point. Overall, the food was as good or better than most. The atmosphere is excellent! Plus, there was a live musician playing piano and trumpet, which was very enjoyable (live music has also disappeared from most brunches). Our server, James, was perfect, and really helped make the experience feel special. We will absolutely be back!

Our waitress (cannot not remember her name. Was amazing, she was very attentive and made sure we were enjoying our meal. Even having a large table and several smaller tables, we felt like we the only people in the restaurant. My parents are elderly and she took the time to answer all of the questions.

Always a beautiful way to end the weekend with the champagne brunch! Service and food are impeccable. John at the omelet station is terrific and so is your talented musician playing both the piano and trumpet. We look forward to our next visit.

Sadly, not my best dining experience. I had the onion soup as a starter and it was lukewarm and too salty - which is saying a lot for French onion soup. As entrees we had the short ribs and ribeye. The short ribs and demi glaze had amazing flavor but again, were lukewarm as were the mashed potatoes. The steak had a great flavor and was warm and the risotto was cold. We sent back the risotto and in 2 minutes it came back in the same bowl so it was obvious they simply microwaved the (premade?) risotto. Perhaps the restaurant could pre-warm their dishes prior to adding the entrees? Just unfortunate as I am not inclined to try the restaurant again.

Loved the quick service. Jack our waiter was a hoot in a good way. Food was scrumptious. The piano man was just part of a nice experience. Definitely will be returning sooner than later.

Clearly there was an issue with the cook. The server was ok but the food was not great. It took really long to get anything and I'm not sure why. The menu was not quite accurate and no explanation that it wouldn't be accurate to what was written. Unfortunately I do not think the value of the food was worth the price. The tiramisu was amazing as well as the drinks (which the server made). Everything else was truly a disappointment.

Took over 30 minutes from the time we placed our order for the server to tell us they were out of chicken. More than an hour from the time we placed the original order until the food came. My $45 sea bass cold. Not a good value for the price. You would think that the server would you inform the customer right away when a menu item isn't available. There were 4 people in our party and it got to be a ver uncomfortable situation.

Absolutely AWFUL SERVICE from the HOSTESS to the BARTENDER. Bartender did not want to be working and would make ughh and dirty faces when we wanted to order... then the hostess refused to let us look at a menu! Never again! Go to The Grand Geneva. You get what you pay for!

We took the 5:30 PM sitting for dinner during the middle of Christmas week. The place only had a couple of tables filled, but that changed rather quickly as time went on. They honored my request for a window table so we could look out onto the lake. Overall, the restaurant is extremely nice, the food was excellent and we will come back. Our service was a little subpar which took a star out of the rating. She was a very nice woman, except a little forgetful, and seemed a little distracted tonight. But the ambience is fantastic. And our food was great! We got braised ribs where the meat just fell apart. Spinach gnocchi, which was full of fresh vegetables and about eight large shrimp. Also fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp also having eight large shrimp. We recommend to stay away from the carrot side dish as it was thinly sliced carrot pieces that were served over what seemed like maple, pancake syrup. Not very good. If you are staying at the Abbey or in the area, I would definitely recommend giving this place a try for a special dinner out. It's a little pricey, but that is to be expected for this type of dining experience.

Stumbled upon a buffet without knowing it for Christmas but tried to make it work. The staff were accommodating but I couldn't help but feel bad and awkward about the situation
