“For a smaller business they do a great job. It's good home cooked meals. The only time we had to wait a while is when there is large groups in there. It's a nice quite place to relax and enjoy conversations with other people. Everything is made fresh, it's not sitting in warmers. We'll keep going back there.”

“We have visited the Boat House on two occasions, both were exceptional. Casual, relaxed and friendly. The staff will make you feel comfortable and well cared for. Food is good and prices are fair; especially their specials. This is a great summer stop, but winter is very good too. during the winter, you will not be able to take advantage of their outdoor amenities (Tiki bar and lawn games, and boat dock) but there is plenty to offer indoors.”

“This place is bomb!!! I am in Beaver Dam for work quite a bit now and I’ll certainly be coming back here! I had the Italian beef that was literally so huge I could’ve had 2 meals but it was so good I totally demolished the whole thing. The fries had perfect crunch and were salted perfectly too. I had a scoop of ice cream that was delicious! I was literally so stuffed! The only downfall was that I wasn’t hungry enough to try more. ?? I’m going to be back!!! You’d be doing yourself a disservice if you don’t eat here!”

“Picked up a pile of wings from Otter's tonight - first time we've gotten wings from here. I'm sold. The breading is perfect and crispy, the chicken cooked perfectly, the sauce is great. If you're into wings at all, give them a shot.”

“Excellent brewhouse! Beer is unique with many varieties. The Holla is a jalapeno brew with no heat, just great flavor. Bartender very friendly and helpful in guiding me to the perfect brew.”

“Fish fry is amazing. I had the flounder. They make their own Tartar sauce which is SO good. They also make their own pickles, and breading for the fish and coleslaw.... service was pretty good.”

“Great live bands and outdoor bar. A favorite place to visit with the in-laws. Cash only bar outside with limited drinks. If it's busy and you want a mixed drink, it can sometimes take a while since they only make them inside.”

“Very expensive for what you get. The eggs benedict is extremely overpriced. The ham slice is so thin we just laughed when we looked. The eggs weren't poached and very little hollandaise sauce on it. The hash browns vitus be tripled. It's a potato, they're not expensive. I did not recommend this place but I can't change it. The staff were very friendly though.”

“We were shopping at Warehouse 151 and spent too much time shopping, so we decided to grab a bite before heading home. There's not much to look at from the outside, but don't let that stop you! This place is a gem! Cute diner vibe. Prompt seating, extremely fast service and HUGE portions for around $10-12. Most everything comes with soup or salad and a side. You just can't beat it. It's a must stop.”

“Stopped for dinner with my dad. I had the baked (poor man's) haddock. 3 piece. Juicy, flaky with just the right amount of drawn butter. Dad had the 1/2 lb. mush/swiss burger and thoroughly enjoyed it. We both agreed the food was top-notch!! Mandy, our waitress was friendly and checked on us regularly to make sure we had everything we needed. Will definitely be making a stop here again next time in the area!!! Thank You!!”

“A great stop as always . Be sure to get reservations and have cash with you. No credit cards . Tonight we checked in early and several tables were empty. We have never had issues like tonight getting a table without reservations. In addition, its cash only and the ATM was out of service. So bring a checkbook if you know what that is anymore. Its always a great time but i dont understand why you wouldn't charge 3 percent to every credit card and give that an option especially when your atm is broke.”

“Love the local character of this hole-in-the-wall place in downtown BD. This place has been around for decades and the interior is a testament to that. A quirky mix of a diner and a bar. Actually somewhat confusing given all of the TVs for watching sports, the booze and the beer. You'd think it would be open into the wee hours but no it closes at 2pm! Odd. Everyone was a local there except for us - we were the only ones who needed a menu! The banter between the staff and the patrons was entertaining. A real hoot. I ordered a chili cheeseburger which was pretty good. My wife ordered a bowl of chili and a grilled cheese. Both were solid though the chili is more like a chili soup than a typical beefy chili. Lots of beans and good flavor. I am glad places like this are still around - a real historical gem.”

“Tonight I ate here for the first time. Had the Haddock fish fry, generous portion size, variaty in potato choices for a very fair price. Very friendly staff that are attentive to making sure you are taken care of. Definitely will go back.”
