I tried bay area burger for the first time recently. Food was great. Smash burger was what one would expect and the brioche bun tied it all together. Onion rings were spot on!The only criticism I have would be the cost. I felt that the $$$ for a Smash burger and onion rings was a little on the high side, despite the food being really good.

Do not order from this place unless u want to get completely ripped off i spent $31 on this food for the cheese curds to be awful my malt came inside of the bag with a lid that was obviously to big the size of everything is ridiculous i would rather eat from a dumpster this is a sad excuse for a restaurant DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!!!!!!
Went here for a quick bite to eat. Took about 15 minutes to take our order, got our shake about 3 minutes before the food. My burger didn't have any of the toppings I asked for but I just ate it anyway since the server/possibly manager didn't check back until we'd been eating for about 10 minutes. Sat there with empty plates for another 10-15 then waited for our card to be ran for another 10 minutes after having them take off the $1 for a side of mayo I never got. Definitely won't be back, the other table in there (we were one of two customers) was not happy at all either and we heard them complaining to the server on our way out.

Fish sandwich, frozen patty with mayo (not tartar) and a tad of cheese nothing else- $14.
The tiniest plain jane grilled cheese- $8.
Double smash burger the size of a KT double- $13
And none of these came with sides.
We paid $8 for like 12 cheese curds.
the Fries were the only thing reasonably priced at $4.
I will pay $13 all day for a good burger but usually they're a good size and come with a side.. And I was really looking forward to their fish sandwich, the menu made it sound like it was a homemade fish sandwich not a frozen patty :(.
They can do so much better.

It's not my kind of burger, crispy, crunchy, and dry. The smell in there was not pleasant (grease). The floors were slippery. If you like paper thin, dry burgers, this is your place.

Our wait time was quite long to get shakes and drinks and so we didn’t get our order in for about 20-30 minutes after being seated. (We also waited 15-20 minutes to be seated) My mint shake tasted like vanilla. The kids grilled cheese was not very edible. The cheese was all on the paper it was wrapped in and was cold and greasy. The burgers were quite small especially for the price. We could tell you needed more help as the cook and servers were running around like crazy. May have just been a really bad night.
