Very good fish fry for a good price. Food came out fresh and fast. The breading has cornmeal in it, which isn't my preference, but was seasoned and cooked very well. I didn't get a chance to try the baked fish, but it looked excellent. Definitely a good value and worth the stop.

I give this an overall 5* because of there creative cocktail items. Tried some Perlicks maple syrup edition vodka, superb! They also have mini barrel aged liqueurs for a unique cocktail experience. Bar manager was very knowledgeable.

We have stayed at the Flat Creek a number of times over the last 5 years. We have always been happy there (we love their Friday fish fry). On this trip, the front desk, wait staff, food quality, and bartender were again great.Having said that, I got the feeling that the housekeeping and maintenance staff are not up to the standard of the rest of the staff.When we went to turn down our bedding to go to bed, we discovered long black hair on the pillows and sheets!!! The only explanation we can come up with is that the bed was made, but bedding not changed after the last guest. VERY disappointing! Housekeeping was gone for the day, so it was not changed until the next day ...The hot tub was closed, and at least one entrance door has a faulty lock. The restaurant is no longer open for breakfast (replaced by cold wrapped food in the lobby that needs to be microwaved).All in all, it is a great facility with great food and service staff. I hope housekeeping and maintenence don't ruin it.

Stopped in for a late lunch so it wasn't a busy time. The atmosphere was nice, homey, and clean. I liked that the kitchen was visible. Reasonable prices. Our server was friendly, checked in frequently but didn't hover. The bruschetta was delicious. We split the daily special fish sandwich, which was good and filling, along with tasty fries. We also split the triple chocolate cake dessert - delicious!

Went for lunch, had fish and chips and the walleye dinner which was hugh and a little under cooked. Waitress was tentative and nice. Over nice restaurant.

The staff seemed annoyed when we asked about seating to accommodate a disability. They had none of the food we saw online before deciding to eat there. They upcharge for bread with $8 soup, dressing for salad or dippi g, probably smiles too. Our waitress, took our cash and while we waited for the change she took others payments, order, and plates. We had to ask another waitress for our change as we waited longer than it took to eat. Unreal ridiculous who assumes they can keep the change, not to mention, it would have been a 27% tip! Sucktastic

We went on a Friday night for their fried chicken, only to be told Fridays are all-you-can-eat fish and no fried chicken was available. Our server was not knowledgeable about the menu items and gave us misinformation. The fish was just okay . . . broiled was flavorless and fried was slightly better. Cole slaw was supposed to accompany the dinners, but they ran out. No substitution was offered. Fried shrimp was decent. Dinner rolls are large, soft and delicious. Bonus points for Coke products! Would not recommend this; try elsewhere.
