This is a self cook your own steak, or they can cook it for you. I chose to have them cook it for me, now the steak was cooked to what I ordered but it was tuff and it was just ok, I can't say that I would recommend this place but there is just not a lot of choices here in janesville.

Have been here a few times in the past. Most recently, I went here for my nephews 17th birthday dinner. Cooking your own steak, of your choice, or fish if you choose. Is a good experience for anyone. The Texas toast is amazing. Toast it alongside your steak. They also have a salad and baked potato bar. The atmosphere is amazing. It's a bit on the pricey side but a good spot for special occasions!Dietary restrictions: Salad bar. But aside from the normal pick you own steak to cook with the salad and potato bar, they also have a menu that has other options.

My wife and I came here this past Saturday, March 9th, to celebrate my birthday. The bar staff was really awesome. When we got seated, our waitress took a while to come see us, which is fine, it's a busy night, but once she finally came to our table she was not very nice at all. Once we got our steaks, we did not want to grill our steaks ourselves, my ribeye was done how I asked, but my wife's filet was well done, not medium, as she had asked. The toast was very dry, but it's toast. The steak was just disappointing. Our waitresses never checked on us to ask how our meal was. Not once. I had to flag her down to get a refill. Just an incredibly disappointing meal, especially for what we paid. Lesson learned. Will not be making a return visit.

Feb 17, 2024.The Filet Mignon was the worst I ever had in my life. The waitress instead of fixing the problem decided to educate me on what medium rare was, like I was an uninformed moron.I would not recommend this place to an enemy!

We went to Prime Quarter Janesville, Wisconsin for our anniversary. We were seated at a small table up in the dark corner by the exit on the upper dining floor south end. Seriously?? This table wasn't even big enough for our food dishes. It was claustrophobic sitting there. There wasn't an overhead light in this corner so it was quite dark at this little table. I have worked in restaurant for over 20 years and I would only use that table for silverware prep And menus. The picture shows that our plates are right on the edge on one side and hanging over on the other side. There's barely room for everything. Another problem was that ALL the chairs in the restaurant have armrests. Which is fine if you're not a larger person. If you are a heavier person, you have to literally perch on the edge of the chair And it's very uncomfortable. We asked for a chair without armrests and were told they all had them. ( If this is true or not we didn't go searching because an employee SHOULD know wether or not they have them) Lastly, we had a postcard type coupon that was supposed to give us $5 off each dinner. Our server didn't read the coupon and only gave us one discount for one meal. It is the responsibility of the manager to make sure all employees know about and understand how their coupons work. PERIOD. When she brought the bill we gave her the coupon and the debit card. When she came back, we were so uncomfortable and disappointed about the whole evening we didn't even argue about the missing discount. By that time, we just wanted to leave that dark cramped corner, so we took almost our whole meal home in a take home box. Driving back to Illinois our discussion was all about how miserable that dinner was. I have been going to Prime Quarter in Janesville for a few decades. Never have I ever had such an experience like that. COMFORT of diners should always be right up there with quality, and if you're a larger person squeezed into a chair with armrests, there is no comfort for you. Prime Quarter management...Larger people would like to enjoy your restaurant too. Get rid of half the chairs with armrests. p.s. I got the coupon for previously writing an amazing review from a birthday dinner almost 5 years ago And they don't expire so we saved them. Between medical crises and Covid, we hadn't been able to get there before this dinner.
