Really impressed with the improvements here. We had written the Boat House off a couple of years ago but WOW, this place has moved up to near the top of my list. Great food, service and drinks!

This is a great walkable spot in town. We love taking out of town visitors here for a meal and we love stopping in for a drink. Love that the patio is dog friendly too!

Updated review: Service and drinks have been getting worse, especially in the bar. Bartenders are inattentive, playing around, or just rude. Drink quality is in the gutter, confirmed by the most recent visit. Informed that day before St. Paddy's day, they were only serving two drinks. At $10 a pop in a tiny plastic cup. One sip, and it was just this side of Kool-Aid mixed with a cheap melon liqueur. It's supposed to have been a margarita. Zero tequila and zero response from the "bartender" who just looked at me with an attitude when cashing out. Drinks were untouched. You would think she would have asked if there was a problem or if she could get us something else. Nope! Note to management... if your Bartenders can't work off your usual menu as well as two specials that are from a bad tasting mix, then maybe you shouldn't have them behind the bar. Perhaps you should rethink your business strategy for a holiday weekend because you're not going to survive hawking this slop and attitude to customers. You've lost some customers on this experience who used to choose this spot. No more. There is nothing here that I could recommend . Spend your cash elsewhere in Kenosha or drink at home.

The service was excellent. I even gave my waitress a hug after dinner because her recommendations were on point the fish fry was delicious. I will definitely go back after my experience.

Had reservation for 945pm. Arrived at 945 pm and despite sign that says wait to be seated no host present. After several minutes we sat at the bar ordered drinks and told bartender we reserved a table. He said we'd have to talk to hostess. Asked if we could just order food at the bar he said yes. Asked for appetizer while we looked at menu. Waited several minutes for that bartender or any of the many staff behind the bar that were present to even acknowledge our presece. When the bartender that gave us menus did finally return with appetizer, he told us the kitchen was closed and we could no longer order. Don't know why they would give a 945 reservation if the kitchen would. Never did see a hostess return. Would have ordered entrees at the same time as appetizer had he said something. Thought surely since we were there before the kitchen was closed and had a reservation at 945 they would make an exception. Didn't even offer to comp the appetizer, or a drink for the inconvenience. Luckily, Captain Mike's just up the road had great service, delicious food, and friendly staff. And their kitchen was open until 1045. It was my girlfriend's birthday and they saved the night.

3.1.24 - All the effort to remodel and hone the menu at the Boat House has paid off! Tonight our 8 year old granddaughter said our server Ysenia was the kindest server she had ever met. We agree! The Walleye and Tuna salad were amazing. Our little one loved her cheeseburger -but the cheese cubes were her favorite. Can’t wait for the bar with water views to open again!Previous review about a year ago: Hey y’all the Boat House has it figured out! The scallops and risotto was a big hit for 3 of our diners. The chef’s salmon is the bomb but the fish tacos comes with elote, a welcome surprise and delicious. Let’s be real - every joint in Kenosha has staffing issues and yes, we got our own first round of drinks at the bar. That said, Marsha from the east coast was an excellent server and we love the way she says chowder. ?Enjoy the lake view, be patient and give this menu its due - great summer dining! ❤️

My husband and I went for valentines meal and the food was 100% delicious! The room set up was quiet and beautiful.The waitress Gabe was a great server she was busy but always checked on our table.If you want a wonderful meal for valentines day go here, you won't regret it !!!!Kid-friendliness: We did see kids in the normal area but they were coloring, so to me that is kid friendly.

Had the fish fry & waffle fries. Fish was just ok. Fries were a little warm not hot. For the price I expected better. Won’t go again unless it’s just for a sandwich in the Summer. Our waitress was delightful.Parking: Steep stairs in back to enter restaurant. ??
