It's a nice place for home cooking. It's laid back, and slower atmosphere. The food is good. Nothing overly special, just good comfort food.

This was the worse dining experience I've had. The waitress actually threw the menu's on the table and said, "what do you want?" She didn't once even look in our direction as she spoke to us. Food took over an hour and she checked on us once during the entire time, but did it while talking to the table next to us. The food was also actively bad. There was a sign in there joking about bad service, which I thought was funny and kitschy, but nope. It's an actual warning.

Great greasy spoon restaurant. Big portions and good service a Northside staple.

Food was good with large portions, took 45 minutes from order to serving. And it was not busy at the time.

Have not been there since 2019. Outside and in has deteriorated. Older folk now are the main setting compared to what it was the last time I was there. Waitress was not so attentive but did just enuf. On the bright side, breakfast was superb.

After a bad first experience I tried to give this place another try. I wish I hadn't, I waited 45 minutes for 2 pancakes and an omelette on a not very busy Sunday afternoon. Food was average at best, I would not recommend coming here.

Stopped in for breakfast. Had deluxe omelette and hashbrowns and lots of coffee. Fast friendly

Every time I go to here I get something else besides what I want. The food is pretty good, if it's the food you ordered. Ask for fried and you'll get a pile of something potatoes. Order rye bread and you won't get it. The staff has had it up to here with people and it shows.

It’s hard to find a good place to eat without emptying your wallet. This place has the best prices I’ve seen in probably 2 years! Great tasting food with an even better price!

Long wait for the food, but there's plenty of it when it comes. Staff needs a reason to be reinvigorated.

Sue is by far the worst server I have ever seen. I am not sure what going on here but Marges has been in a nose dive and doesn't seem to be pulling up.

Decided to try this place out after hearing lot of people rave about it. Great coffee. The food was excellent. Plenty of seasoning and flavor unlike some of the other breakfast places we have tried in the city. I got the #20 southwest omlette and my fiance got the #19 cheesesteak omlette. A real greasy spoon type diner. Nothing super special about the inside but that's how you know the food is good. We did have to wait a little bit (maybe 20 mins or so) for our food but it was well worth the wait.
