Do not go here for lunch. It indicates they are open for lunch but upon making a special trip here for lunch, it was closed and the hours sign shows they are only open for dinner for a few hours. Unable to evaluate the food obviously since they don't keep accurate hours.

Hands down, the best service I’ve gotten from any restaurant in regards to fixing their mistakes. (also, the sushi is phenomenal)I placed a DoorDash order for a Godzilla roll, and then I called the restaurant to let them know that I am allergic to cucumbers. They said it would be taken care of. However upon arrival, we learned the chef made a mistake and forgot to 86 the cucumbers. After one phone call, they remade the order and delivered it themselves. No hassle about it.Amazing experience. Thank you!

Always got food here until my beef was served with blood vessels still attached. Grossed me out and threw it out. Haven't gone back.

Always love Sushi Pirate. They are still closed for dinning in which saddens me a little but the sushi is amazing!

Feeling obligated to write a review due to all the negative ones I read that almost scared me away. Nothing positive about the atmosphere since all the tables were cluttered with art supplies for a crafts fair. Only doing togo's currently. Feel like expectations need to be managed in Wisconsin. The sushi was great considering we are in a land locked state with only one other sushi restaurant aside from the local gas stations. I had the lunch special with 3 rolls and a salad for $12. Can't beat it.

Listen. You're in Wisconsin. You're quite a bit away from salt water. No. Your fish isn't going to be just caught fresh like it is in California. Adjust your expectations. Having said that, fish was fresh enough. In regards to overall food taste: is it the best sushi I've ever had? No. But it's definitely some of the best I've had in years. Better than most places I've had in CA. Better than literally any place I've had in TN, IN, OR or AL.

We recently moved to the area from East TN and this is the first sushi place we tried in the area. The sushi is really good; it’s not quite the best I have ever had but it was way better than simply mediocre, I would definitely recommend again to friends! If you’re craving sushi, this will definitely hit the spot.We also got the pork gyoza which was great and the chicken fried rice as well which we both really loved. The dining room was closed when we went so it was take out only, but the service we did had was great

This is the worst place that I have gotten food from. The place itself is filthy inside. Ordered the teriyaki beef and a dragon roll to go. Flavorless as far as the beef bowl goes. Rock hard meat! Sushi for at $15 roll was half a roll and nasty. The wasabi and radish was dried up like toilet paper. This place should shut down.

Puffed rice has been added to all of the spicy rolls.I used to love this place but unfortunately it has gotten worse over the last year.

Wonderful food, great service. They gave us free deserts. I got the Godzilla roll and it was really good.

The Sushi Pirate used to serve dishes from Hunan Restaurant on 4th.2 years ago we shipped 2 gallons of the Hunan Spicy Sour soup to our current residence. We started patronizing Hunan back in 1987, and today to learn no more Hot & Sour soup, feels like the end of a legend. How could the current owners just let this recipe go? I am 1300 miles from my current residence and this just made me sad today. What a waste. This soup was so good, my dad start reverse engineering it decades ago.It is truly the end of an era. Drive past the original Hunan location, and the entire building has been scraped off. Typical LaCrosse, scrape off classic and historic building, soon they will all be gone.

The portions were extremely small for what I paid. When I came in the workers kids were screaming and they weren't doing anything about it. Very disappointing.

The sushi here was meh, every roll we ordered was mushy, broke easily, tasted the same, and the rice tasted old/weird. We also ordered fried rice and that was better than the sushi. I would not recommend or go back.
