Bad experience, bartender gave us 4 people drinks that were all wrong, I just had soda n that was wrong, we watched her press 2 different buttons on the gun. The other bartender just says, oh its her first night, but never fixes the mistake, she acted like she couldn't hear us when we asked what she put in the drinks. The floor was super sticky, and a group of 8 people were standing around blocking the front door, not one person moved. Very gross, nobody in our group will go back. Too many other bars in town to tolerate that crappyness!

Long overdue imo but Library has been a very fun place to hang out on the weekends. On Thursdays, they have $1 rail mixers. Great, budget friendly option for undergrads to get plastered. This year, they (Library and Brothers) introduced this mug club. It's $4 for the mug and the $1 rail mixer special is kept! I like it bc it reduces plastic waste and the drink special is still the same. Bring your mug back any Thursday so you don't have to keep buying mugs!! I wasn't sure whether you could bring your mug to other bars but I also didn't want to waste the mug I just bought. I found a place to hide it downtown and then picked it up later and returned to the Library. Safety is very important and although I'm a guy and not likely to have my drink drugged, you never know what could happen if you just leave your mug somewhere in public and pick it up to reuse later. I walked in and asked a few employees if they were able to wash it for me before reuse (busy night so I would think no would be understandable) and they washed it for me no questions asked, refilled my drink and it was back to the floor!! Shoutout to Natalie Svarc and Austin Knade for going above and beyond to ensure patrons safety even on a busy night!! Would recommend this bar for any and all undergrads

Love library on a slow night. But if it’s a busy night good luck getting a drink. One of the guy bartenders is the slowest thing on earth and will only go to his friends. The dude before us had been waiting much longer than us and we decided to leave at the 20 min mark. Go to brother’s and you’ll get a drink much faster

Alison was the best bartender I've found in la crosse.
The Library is basically a lower-tier Brothers, which can be found right down the street from this place. It's kind of a shame because I think this bar has a lot of potential. Specifically, I think the look of the place is really kind of creative (even though I have been two a few other library-themed bars).But the truth is that The Library has a very big underage problem and more so than any other bar in the area. However, if you're a college student looking for a quick mixer, then this could be the bar for you. The drinks are fine, if you can manage to get one on a busy night.

Awesome place to go during happy hour especially, $1 tequila shots and $2 vodka lemonade pitchers. Great place to pre game before hitting the clubs downtown. Staff is very friendly and I've never had a problem with them.
